Loki had...a special sort of class planned for today. Look, he had to get his entertainment somewhere and no one said this class was gonna be all about looking fucking slick and carrying weapons.

"So, this weekend is Halloween," Loki said, clapping his hands and looking devious. "And you know what that means, right? Candy, pranks, scary movies and some of the most awesome fucking costumes known to man."

Start fearing, kids. Start fearing right now.

"So, today, we're going to see how many of you can make the most ridiculous fucking costumes work," he announced gleefully. "You're going to put your costume on and fucking strut. If you work it, I'll give you some candy and you can leave early. If you don't, you stay in that costume the rest of the class. Now, you may be wondering how this helps you be a badass. One, you're going to have to compromise in an unexpected situation. Two, no one said everything was gonna be tailored suits and shiny shoes. Three, you're probably going to have to blend in at some point in your life and knowing how to work even the most ridiculous of outfits is helpful. Four, this will help you be less embarrassed by shit."

And it'd make him laugh.

"Also, I'm picking your costumes."

Oh yes. With that, he gestured at the rack of costumes behind him and started naming off names and which costumes they'd get to wear.

Jason was already glaring, and Loki hadn't even given him a costume yet. He had a feeling he'd need to prepare though.

This could...certainly be interesting, Alexander decided. Halloween was all still fairly new to him, so he felt almost excited to see what constituted as a ridiculous costume, especially since he only had to wear one of them. If you looked at it that way, it didn't seem so bad at all.

Kurt shrugged and climbed into his costume. One puff of smoke later, and BAMF! there was a really CREEPY-looking clown looming menacingly behind Loki.

Kurt shook his head slowly -- or tried to. Because of the ridiculously huge mask, he ended up having to sort of sway his entire body to make the same point.

Then he tried an ominous chortle, but it came out sounding goofier than he'd meant it to.

Alexander didn't know what his costume was supposed to be (the Gingerbread Hut had long been destroyed by the time he got to Daventry), but he figured he had an advantage in the fact that it was a warrior, albeit a very odd looking one.

So he put on the costume and started brandishing his lollipop halberd menacingly.

"Rawr!" he said, acting the part no matter how much the silly mask muffled his voice. "Give me some candy! Tonight, we dine...on sweets!!!"

No one could accuse him of not making an effort.

A very good effort and that aggression coupled with the costume made Loki laugh but he had to give the guy credit for doing it in a silly costume like that.

"Then I shall have to take it by force!" Alexander the Gingerbread Warrior declared, with another menacing shake of his weapon before he went to gentle nudge at Loki with the end of the lollipop halberd.

Just a little nudge.

Or at least an attempt at one.

It was sort of difficult to see out of this mask.

It wasn't that Quinn was thrilled by being told to dress like an ice cream cone. She wasn't, after all, five, and it was hard to look cute when you had a pointed plastic bag over your head.

On the other hand, she was grateful Loki hadn't gone the slutty animal route in choosing costumes. The ice cream cone get-up was lame and baggy, but things could have been so much worse that she clambered into it without much complaint.

Except one thing. "Here I am. Anybody who makes any comment about licking me gets kicked, swear to God."

Southern belle was pretty much the complete opposite of Lindsay's personality. Still, this costume, compared to others, wasn't so bad.

"Southern belles seem to love big hats," she said, pulling the hat off her head. "I could use this to collect the candy."

It was hard to be a badass in this costume, so she went for amusing improvisation instead. At least she hoped that's what she conveyed.
