Practical Weaponry [Wednesday, Period Four]

The class was back in the Danger Shop this week, which was set up to resemble a high-class dinner party. Resplendent in a perfectly tailored dinner jacket, Bond was there to greet them.

"There are some situations that a person cannot go into with a weapon," he said, gesturing around the spacious ballroom. "For example, many diplomatic situations, or high-class casinos, or the like, have weapons detectors, and highly trained security staff. However, that does not necessarily mean that you will go in unarmed.

"Apart from any training you may have in unarmed training, you have your wits, and your clothes. In a situation such as this, your choice of clothing can be If you look like you belong, you will be unlikely to attract much notice. If you're working in a team, having your partner wearing a stunning couture dress can distract your enemies at a vital moment." Or leave you distracted at a vital moment, it could backfire sometimes. Not that Bond was going to mention that. "In a pinch, a stiletto heel can be quite a potent weapon indeed."

Bond gestured to an unassuming door. "There is a wardrobe with suitable clothing and footwear through there, and changing stalls," he said. "You will outfit yourselves in a manner befitting this party, and spent the rest of the class mingling and getting information on various party guests, as well as looking out for any fixtures in the room that could be used as weapons. If you have trouble choosing an outfit, I will be happy to help."

Once the students had entered the wardrobe to choose their outfits, they would have noticed that it was filled with stunning couture dresses in every style, fabric, and colour imaginable. After a few more minutes they would have noticed that there wasn't a single suit in sight.

After all, it was unfair to only expect the girls to wear spike heels.

Hannibal had left his critter shaped girlfriend in their room for this class, having made her a nice nest of pillows and blankets on his bed. She didn't like weapons and he didn't want to have to risk hurting her if they did physical assignments.

Later, he'd be REALLY glad he left her in the room for this assignment.

Mr. Bond did rather wear a tux very well. Rose spent a good bit of time practicing her observation skills so she could approve more thoroughly.

Ooooh. Hobnobbing. Turtle was good at this sort of thing, so she didn't even have to feel bad about the fact that she wasn't really listening that much, too distracted by hey there, tux.

Who do have to wear dresses and heels. If they try to leave the changing room in anything else they'll be sent back in, and if they argue, Bond will pick something out for them.

Hannibal stepped into the changing room and promptly stared. He stared for quite awhile in the hopes that this wouldn't really be happening and that he'd find a nice suit or something in between all the dresses.

Nope.

"Oh fuck me," he muttered and rubbed his face. Maybe the radio squirrels would avoid this class today. "I'd rather just out there naked!"

Rose didn't have a problem at all with the selection of clothes provided. Really, it was just a matter of finding something that was her size instead of way too freaking long like most of the dresses.

Really high heels helped though, and she ended up settling on a dark red gown, cut low in the back but with a halter top. Normally she'd want something lowcut, but the whole 'losing her top while fighting' didn't sound like fun. The slit in the skirt, however, was totally to help mobility. Really.

Tybalt just... stared... at the dresses he was surrounded by. Yes, a good deal of staring.

On the one hand, they were dresses. On the other hand, Bond hadn't actually specified what manner of upscale dinner party this actually was.

And that was why, after a few minutes, he was poking his head out again and asking.

"This is a themed party that thou art subjecting us to, then?"

Please. It was so much kinder to his ego to allow Tybalt to remain in denial.

Hinata was... not thrilled by the dresses. It was more of a modesty issue than anything else in this case though.

Some of those dresses were really bad at leaving things to the imagination.

In the end, she settled for a silvery-gray, proper but elegant sort of dress that came down just past her knees. The heels were more of a pain, strappy heels, but she found a pair that weren't too high and decided that was well enough done.

Even while she longed for a proper kimono.

Anemone had been dressed-up and paraded around enough that she knew how to do this, and do it well.

She grabbed a black dress (http://www.unique-vintage.com/sale-style-black-satin-twist-pleat-glamour-gown-p-2035.html) in her size off the rack, and quickly twisting her long pink hair up and out of the way.

Tybalt didn't seem to mind terribly as he stepped out into the ballroom, dressed... colourfully, really. And to top it off, he was rocking that stiletto heel.

He knew he had more legs than a bucket of chicken, and yes, he was just fine with flaunting it. So long as the other boys in the class were doing the same.
