Library (And Support Services): Friday, 7/31
Francine had trekked out to the park early to put up signs at the usual meeting place that matched the ones on the library doors:
Support Services Is Meeting In The Library Today and Tomorrow!
If you heard Mayor Summers' announcement, you know there's something going on. If you didn't hear Mayor Summers' announcement, there's something going on. Please come in and help research anything you can find about vampires, alternate universes, narcolepsy, sleep visions, or anything else that seems like it might help!
Everyone welcome.
Free cookies!
There were always free cookies.
There was also a worried Francine with a brand new hairstyle (for those who haven't been dreaming of other places, anyway) hovering back and forth between the books and the food.
[OOC: Open to all! And muchas gracias to
cautiousfellow for letting us commandeer his library.]

Food and Mingling
There were also drinks and sandwiches, all on a table over to the side where they wouldn't get all over the books.

and her player thinking she's funnythat Gabrielle still had the fading bite marks on her neck by this point in the week. Under any other circumstances she'd have gone into squeaky, flaily spasms of glee over the library (even if it wasn't a surprise any more), but if people were in trouble she knew how to buckle down. With cookies, of course.

handwavilygotten there safely as well. She wasn't really hungry, but she grabbed a cup of coffee, dumped in a ton of sugar and cream, and was ready to hit the books.

Which was why she was parked in the library, pouring over a book.

. . . she ended up having to stifle a giggle at the mental image of Xena trying to do that to a book.
And then frowned as what she was reading began to sink in. "I thought I just got away from this!"
[OOC: And again, the Bacchae thing is totally unrelated, but if any of you want to play around with research red herrings, feel free to ask her WTF she's going on about.]

It would be easier to tell if she could just focus on the books. But her vision kept going blurry. Those enforced naps were the only sleep she was getting these past few days.
Re: Research Your Heart Out
She shivered and turned the page.
