BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Friday Morning]

Chloe got off her flight from New York and followed the signs to the lounge. She dumped the duffle bag of clothes that Andrew had hastily purchased on the floor and slumped into one of the uncomfortable airport chairs.

She was still against this plan but she realized on the flight that sulking wouldn't make it any better so she was going to put on a brave face and make the most of it.

Tyler was there, and wearing a perfectly normal baseball cap, t-shirt and khakis, thank you. He slouched a little, hands tight around a travel mug of coffee, as he watched the group gather.

He hoped he wouldn't have to make anybody walk.

"Hi!" Layla said cheerfully getting on the bus. "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff."

"I know you do," Layla said eagerly. "Especially about Jamie Madrox. Is he as much as a dreamboat as a teenager as he is as an adult?"

"... Madrox?" Tyler checked, gaping. Dreamboat wasn't exactly how he'd describe Jamie. "Brown hair, green eyes, if you kick him you get two of him?"

"That'd be him," Layla said with a dreamy expression on her face. "Except the one you know isn't the one I know. He's stickbug free. And not so much with the hand puppets."

"Hi!" Elle waved excitedly at the older man. "I'm Elle Woods and this is Bruiser Woods." Little Bruiser Woods was shaking, as Chihauhua's do. "There are no assigned seats, I hope? I do favor the front."

"Elle," Tyler said, blinking a little. Give him a minute, and he'd remember who she looked like. "And Bruiser. Right. Up front is fine. You two okay sharing a seat if somebody else wants it?"

"Absolutely!" she replied cheerfully. "Making friends with other students before we get to the school, is super cool. Bruiser and I would love for anyone to share our seat. Are you a teacher at Fandom or just the bus driver?"

Tyler so wished he could get away with telling her he was just the bus driver, but he suspected that was probably the wrong impression to make. Also, if she were in one of his classes he didn't want her to think the bus driver had been promoted.

"No, I teach," he said. "Applied sciences, mostly. Chemistry."

Science was so not her thing, but she smiled pleasantly and replied: "How nice for you! How many years have you been teaching Mr...? I don't think I got your name?"

Danny wandered over, and stuck out a hand. "Danny Fenton, checking in," he said. "Is the ride to the school going to be very long?"

Tyler looked at the hand for a long moment, then shook it. "Tyler Durden, driving the shuttle," he returned.

Or helping to drive. He had to negotiate that with Deadpool.

"It's an hour, ninety minutes if we hit holiday traffic," Tyler claimed. "Where are you coming from, Danny?"

"Amity Park, by way of Chicago," Danny replied. "And as long as no one whines about anything, I'll sit on the bus for as long as necessary."

"What'll you do if somebody whines?" Tyler asked. "I can't really guarantee a no-whining zone."

Disappear. "I'll finally find the headphones that I know I put in my carry-on, I hope," he said. "If I'm really lucky, I'll fall asleep as soon as I sit down again."

At least the man sent to get them looked normal. She made her way over to him and the bus.

"Hey," Tyler greeted the small girl. "Are you on your way to Fandom, or a random airport refugee?"

She smiled faintly. "F-Fandom," she nodded. "I'm Chloe."

"Tyler," Tyler returned, and decided to get through the usual questions quickly. "I teach chemistry, the guy in the red pajamas is the vice principal, and you can sit wherever you like on the bus."

She blinked, looking at the guy Tyler mentioned and began to wonder what kind of place Andrew was sending her to.

She asked the obvious question.

"Why is he wearing pajamas?"

"So, hey?" Bobby bounced a little on the balls of his feet. "Um, I'm here for the shuttle. To, uh. Fandom?" he said the place name a little hesitantly.

"You are in the right place," Tyler said. "I'm Tyler, I teach chemistry, this is your bus, sit where you like, the drive is about 90 minutes, and ... did I forget anything?"
