BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Friday Morning]

Chloe got off her flight from New York and followed the signs to the lounge. She dumped the duffle bag of clothes that Andrew had hastily purchased on the floor and slumped into one of the uncomfortable airport chairs.

She was still against this plan but she realized on the flight that sulking wouldn't make it any better so she was going to put on a brave face and make the most of it.

I will be AFK on and off this evening as I have to actually *go* to BWI. Also turning off comment notifications so ping me here if you need me.

Tybalt wasn't exactly in the mood for mingling. Tybalt was in the mood for standing on the outskirts of the lounge, his lip curled back in a distasteful sneer, wondering just what he'd done to deserve a punishment like this one.

... Aside from the obvious.

If anyone did care to mingle with him, he would be the one in the fancy vest, pulling expensive import cigars from his pocket and then striking a match. Airport smoking laws, his ass.

Layla sighed in relief as she dropped her bags on the ground and gave the group of students a cheerful wave and grin.

"Hi! I'm Layla Miller," she called out. "I know stuff."

(If you wish to NOT have Layla know anything about your character, please let me know OOCly. I will also be heading into afkness but will grab pings later tonight.)

Elle and her hips sashayed slowly up to join the other students heading to Fandom; her three inch jeweled heels soft upon the thin, airport carpet. She was dressed head to toe in smooth, curve hugging, boob enhancing, pink leather. And she was smiling brightly, encouraging Bruiser who was tucked into the curve of her arm.

"Isn't this fun, Bruiser? Don't be scared; everyone looks super nice."

You know what you have to deliver for me when you get there. Them's the rules. ;)

If I wasn't so very very tired, Kate would already be here. But I am, so I'll be coming back when it's (my) morning and seeing whether there's still shuttle fun to be had.

Layla made a quiet polite coughing noise in her throat and pointed at the non-smoking sign.

"It's a federal law not to smoke in an airport," she said sweetly.

"Your dog looks very sweet," Layla said smiling at Elle and Bruiser.

Elle was not happy. Not happy at all. The stupid portal sucked.

But she was somewhere else for once, so she wasn't as unahppy as she could've been.

She was sitting in a chair and sulking liekwoah, however.

"How nice of you to say so," replied Elle, smiling at the other girl. "I'm Elle Woods and this is Bruiser Woods, who is super sweet, just as he looks."

"Nice to meet you," Layla said with a grin. "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff."

Tybalt's eyebrow quirked upward at that, and he took a moment to regard the girl with the same passive disdain as one might have for a beggar on the streets. Well. That was a very inconvenient law.

"Law, is it?" He made his way to the sign, stopping near it and leaning forward slightly as though he was actually bothering to make a note of the thing. "In that case, I must offer my most profound apologies. I must have failed to see the sign."

He then proceeded to stub his cigar out on the sign. See? Problem solved.

"Apology accepted," Layla said cheerfully. "I would have hated for you to have been detained by airport security. It would have no doubt ended badly for you."

Tyler was there, and wearing a perfectly normal baseball cap, t-shirt and khakis, thank you. He slouched a little, hands tight around a travel mug of coffee, as he watched the group gather.

He hoped he wouldn't have to make anybody walk.

"No doubt," Tybalt agreed, albeit somewhat warily. Airport security probably would have had a heyday with the guns that he had packed, as well. The laws of Verona were decidedly different from most other places, in that regard. "Thou art quite the thoughtful one. I suppose I should be thanking thee for the reminder, as well?"

Elena had been packed and ready to leave by dawn. Had she stayed longer, had she slept on the matter, she would have lost her nerve. She wasn't entirely convinced that she still wouldn't.

She had spent the better part of Thursday at the Gold Saucer, losing money on the chocobo races, before catching her portal here.

She was overtired and a bit jet-lagged (portal-lagged?) but still found herself walking up to the tall windows and staring out. The sky was so clear here. It seemed to go on forever.

"If you would like," Layla said politely and offered her hand. "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff."

"What a pretty name, Layla," Elle commented nicely. "You know stuff. I know stuff. Everyone here knows stuff." If it was a odd thing to say, that expression didn't show itself on Elle's face. She just continued to smile.

Layla chuckled a bit at that. "They certainly do. Looking forward to going to school at Fandom?"

"Hi!" Layla said cheerfully getting on the bus. "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff."

Elle blinked at the totally unfortunate looking girl. The poor thing. Smiling cheerfully, she walked over and introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Elle Woods, and this is Bruiser Woods," she indicated her adorable Chihuahua. "I can't help but notice how sad you seem. Is there something I can do to help fix that?"

"Not unless you can send me back home," Elle said with a grumble.

And then, after a pause that went on a moment too long to be socially acceptable: "I'm Elle Bishop."

"Omigod, yes," she replied with a tiny bounce. Too big a bounce could hurt the boobs. "Are you?"
