Library [02/04]

Sam was back in the library again for his regular Monday shift, now that he didn't have to sit by anyone's side in the clinic. He was pretty sure he could go for a good long while without having to do that again, and was more than happy to have things back to normal.

Sam finished his coffee before starting to work on getting books checked back in.

Second Period [02/04]

Sam went about checking his e-mail, and then started his personal research again. This time, he was looking for people with abilities instead of house fires.

Third Period [02/04]

Sam was quickly starting to realize that way, way too many people falsely claimed to have mental abilities.

Lunch [02/04]

The library was closed for lunch to everyone except the librarian, the other aides, and Dean.

"Twice in one week," Dean said, coming in with containers of soup and sandwiches he'd picked up at the diner. "Three times and I'd have to start charging you for delivery."

"You know you don't have to bring me lunch," Sam said. "I can fix something for myself if you have other things you need to do."

Dean grinned as he took his normal seat. "Nah, you'd get too caught up in being all geeky researchy or playing Sims and totally forget to eat at all."

"I'd stop if I really got hungry," Sam protested. "I'm not that much of a geek."

Dean cocked his head and looked at Sammy. "Do you really want me to stop bringing you lunch?"

"No, I don't want you to feel like you have to bring me lunch," Sam replied. "I want this to be something you do because you like to, not because you're feeling a sense of brotherly duty."

"Maybe? But generally, a duty is something you don't want to do, but you do it anyway because you're supposed to," Sam said. "You know how much I hate being a job to you."

"You're my little brother -- of course it's my job to look out for you." Dean shook his head. "That doesn't mean I hate doing it."

Fourth Period [02/04]

Sam decided to stop researching and do some reading before he completely lost his mind.

"Coffee, donut," Peter said, laying them out in front of Sam. "So how 'bout that game, huh?"

Sam took a sip of coffee to make up for the fact that it took him a moment to realize what game Peter was talking about. "Yeah, it was something," he said.

"Did you watch?" Peter asked, starting to suspect Sam hadn't.

"No, I didn't," Sam admitted. "Was it really a good game?"

"Giants won," Peter said. "Which you need to be happy about since that's the New York team. And since when do I know more about sports than you?"

"Since probably forever?" Sam said. "I like playing flag football, but we don't exactly go by the rules. I'm not really a sports geek."

Sam took a final sweep through the library to make sure he had everything cleaned up before he locked up.
