Library [02/04]

Sam was back in the library again for his regular Monday shift, now that he didn't have to sit by anyone's side in the clinic. He was pretty sure he could go for a good long while without having to do that again, and was more than happy to have things back to normal.

"Well, I'm feeling very reinforced now," Sam replied. "That does genuinely make me feel better."

"I'm here to help," Peter said. He saluted Sam with his cup. "Psychologically and physically."

"Lucky for you I've got an inexhaustible supply," Peter said. "you can have as much as you need."

"Until you get crazier, and our positions are reversed," Sam replied.

"Now you're getting it." Peter grinned.

"Good," Peter said. "Means I don't have to throw things at you."

He mimed doing just that.

"I'm also very good at ducking," Sam said. "You don't grow up with Dean without learning that skill."

"Fair point," Peter admitted.

"Plus, your aim probably sucks," Sam added, taking a sip of coffee.

Peter wadded up one of the napkins and tossed it towards Sam's head.

Sam decided not to duck, but swatted at the napkin instead to keep it from hitting him. "Okay, maybe you're not so bad."

"Since you admitted it I won't make you grovel for forgiveness," Peter said.

"Good, because I'm a bad groveler," Sam said, throwing the napkin back at Peter.

Peter caught it with a laugh. "Maybe I should make you practice."

Sam grabbed a piece of paper from under the desk and crumpled it yp before throwing it at Peter. "How's that?"

"Hey!" Peter laughed as the paper bounced off his shoulder. "Mostly for the amusement value."

This time, Sam crumpled two pieces of paper, and threw one with each hand.

"Ohhhh no," Peter said. He threw up his hand to stop the papers with TK. "If you cheat I'm going to cheat."

"Hey, that's cheating a lot more than I did," Sam protested.

"No, this would be." Peter used TK to send the papers flying towards Sam.

...and then stopped them before they could hit, letting them fall harmlessly onto the countertop.

Peter gave Sam a grin.

Sam still took a step back and put his hands up, before realizing that Peter had stopped the papers. "You're just a little bit evil, you know that?"
