Library [02/04]

Sam was back in the library again for his regular Monday shift, now that he didn't have to sit by anyone's side in the clinic. He was pretty sure he could go for a good long while without having to do that again, and was more than happy to have things back to normal.

"Part of the best friend code," Peter said, with a sage nod. "We have to match up on these things."

"So, if you get more crazy, does that mean I have to get more crazy too?" Sam asked.

"Depends," Peter said. "If it's a temporary thing then you have to get proportionately more sane to help bring me down. But if it's forever then you have to try to match up."

"Let's hope you never pick up a power that makes you psychotic then," Sam replied. "I guess that means you've gotten crazier lately, to match me for the last week?"

"I'm remaining hopeful that this is temporary, so I've moved into being more sane," Peter said. "Give it another week or so and I'll match you as needed."

"Blaming myself seemed to be upsetting everyone," Sam explained. "Karal pointed that out, so...that's why I'm working on it."

"Lucky for you I've got an inexhaustible supply," Peter said. "you can have as much as you need."

He mimed doing just that.
