Molly hesitantly peeked her head into the library. She'd gone back to her room before coming down, to find something to offer Karal as an apology for getting him to sign up for Barney's class with her.

Spotting only Altra on the desk, she entered. Altra, she thought at him. She gave the 'cat a sheepish grin as she walked over to the desk with her hands behind her back.

He lifted his head in surprise, then twitched his whiskers in amusement. :Molly.:

"Did he tell you?" she asked with a slight cringe.

:I didn't get details, but he's hiding in the stacks.: His mindvoice sounded very amused. :Must have been quite a class.:

Molly looked away. "I don't think today's was too bad.

But, since it is still being played out, it could get worse.

. It's more what's coming," she said. "The syllabus... some of the classes are going to make Karal blush a lot."

:It's good for him.: Altra stretched to his feet and leapt off the desk, walking towards Molly. :He has to ask you something important. Why don't you go and find him. He'll be happy to see you.:

"If you say so," Molly replied, not so sure. But, she turned to go find Karal anyway.

She walked along, peeking down the isles until she spotted Karal. Taking a deep breath, she started down the row. "Hello!" she said with a grin, waving briefly before putting her hand behind her back again.

Karal looked up from the book he'd been shelving and smiled when he saw her. "Hello, Molly. Welcome to the library."

Molly smiled more at his greeting. "I'm happy to be here," she said walking up to him. "I think I might be able to find a reason to visit more often too."

Looking shyly pleased, he held out his hand to her. "That would make me very happy."

Molly looked at his hand with a small frown and shook her head. "I have something to give you first," she said contritely. "To apologize for getting you to sign up for that class." Bringing her hands out from behind her back, she placed a small bag of M&Ms in his hand. "I didn't know it would be like that."

"It is all right. It was not as bad as it could have been. Parts of it were actually quite funny." Closing his fingers around the bag, he stepped closer and went to kiss her lightly, in the hopes of reassuring her.

Molly was greatly reassured by the kiss and beamed up at him. "I was worried you'd be annoyed with me," she said, reaching for his hand now.

"Of course not! Glory, Molly, it was my choice to sign up," he said as he took her hand, then lifted the bag of M&Ms to look at it curiously. "Chocolate? So long as you promise not to call me Al, I won't even mind Altra's teasing."

Molly chuckled. "I promise not to call you Al," she said.

"Oh! Altra said you had something to ask me?"

"I do, yes." Karal took a little breath. "I need to know how to use the portals. Altra says it's time to return to Valdemar, and he wishes us to leave on Saturday night."

"Oh!" Molly said, happy to explain. But then... "Oh. Yeah, I can show you how to get one." Her tone was resigned now. On the one hand, boo leaving. But, on the other, at least he wouldn't be getting sick from Jumping. "Do you know how long you'll be gone?"

"Thank you, and no," he replied. "I do not know what's happening there, or even how much time has passed since Altra returned. I have a class on Monday, so hopefully by then." He left unspoken that if things were bad, if he was needed, returning for class wouldn't be a priority. "I will try and let you know if I am to be delayed."

Molly nodded, a little worried about what he was going back to, but knowing he had to go. "Is there a computer with internet here that you can use?"

"There is one at the desk," he said, but didn't move. "Must we use a computer?"

Karal really wasn't fond of them.

"I'm afraid so, yes." Molly grinned and tugged lightly on his hand to get him moving. "You can do it," she said encouragingly. "You did just fine when you sent me my letters."

He sighed and followed. "I know how to use one, at least a little, I just do not like them very much," he explained, then smiled a little. "But if we must, then we must. Thank you for your help."

Molly smiled back. "You're welcome."

There was no sign of Altra as they reached the desk, and Karal glanced around. "Altra was here when you arrived?"

Molly nodded. "He told me where you were. He may have headed for the exit when I went to find you, I'm not sure."
