Molly looked at his hand with a small frown and shook her head. "I have something to give you first," she said contritely. "To apologize for getting you to sign up for that class." Bringing her hands out from behind her back, she placed a small bag of M&Ms in his hand. "I didn't know it would be like that."

"It is all right. It was not as bad as it could have been. Parts of it were actually quite funny." Closing his fingers around the bag, he stepped closer and went to kiss her lightly, in the hopes of reassuring her.

Molly was greatly reassured by the kiss and beamed up at him. "I was worried you'd be annoyed with me," she said, reaching for his hand now.

"Of course not! Glory, Molly, it was my choice to sign up," he said as he took her hand, then lifted the bag of M&Ms to look at it curiously. "Chocolate? So long as you promise not to call me Al, I won't even mind Altra's teasing."

Molly chuckled. "I promise not to call you Al," she said.

"Oh! Altra said you had something to ask me?"

"I do, yes." Karal took a little breath. "I need to know how to use the portals. Altra says it's time to return to Valdemar, and he wishes us to leave on Saturday night."

"Oh!" Molly said, happy to explain. But then... "Oh. Yeah, I can show you how to get one." Her tone was resigned now. On the one hand, boo leaving. But, on the other, at least he wouldn't be getting sick from Jumping. "Do you know how long you'll be gone?"

"Thank you, and no," he replied. "I do not know what's happening there, or even how much time has passed since Altra returned. I have a class on Monday, so hopefully by then." He left unspoken that if things were bad, if he was needed, returning for class wouldn't be a priority. "I will try and let you know if I am to be delayed."

Molly nodded, a little worried about what he was going back to, but knowing he had to go. "Is there a computer with internet here that you can use?"

"There is one at the desk," he said, but didn't move. "Must we use a computer?"

Karal really wasn't fond of them.

"I'm afraid so, yes." Molly grinned and tugged lightly on his hand to get him moving. "You can do it," she said encouragingly. "You did just fine when you sent me my letters."

He sighed and followed. "I know how to use one, at least a little, I just do not like them very much," he explained, then smiled a little. "But if we must, then we must. Thank you for your help."

Molly smiled back. "You're welcome."

There was no sign of Altra as they reached the desk, and Karal glanced around. "Altra was here when you arrived?"

Molly nodded. "He told me where you were. He may have headed for the exit when I went to find you, I'm not sure."

"I should not be surprised. This morning was the first time I'd seen him since Wednesday night." With a look of distaste, Karal poked the mouse to bring the computer back to life. "Show me what to do?"

Molly giggled at Karal's expression. "It won't bite," she said. Taking his hand, she put it on the mouse with hers on top so she could direct him on opening an internet connection and finding the portal information.

Suddenly computers were much more appealing. "It is very convenient," he said, clicking the buttons until the page was open.

"Fun to use too," she said with a smirk. She then explained about arrival times and round trips and other terms that the website threw at him.

"Horses are easier," he muttered, but he followed her instructions until it was organised, then shut the window down with a sigh of relief. "There, is is done."

"Done," Molly repeated before turning to look at him. "You will be safe, right?"

"I will be in the Palace at Haven, surrounded by Heralds and the Royal Guard," he said reassuringly. "And mages, and the gryphons and the Companions." It wasn't precisely a yes, because he knew nothing was certain. "And Altra as well."

Molly put her hand on his cheek. "I guess it'll have to do," she said with a smirk.

He smiled as he tipped his head, pressing his cheek against her palm. "If I am delayed, I will try and get a message to you."

Molly smiled back. "I know you will," she said and leaned over to give him a kiss.
