Lying and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, Class #1, Monday Afternoon, Park

Jarod stood in front of the class, a little more nervous about teaching this particular subject. He handed out the syllabus, then some informational sheets, worksheets, and #2 pencils. "Good afternoon. I'm Jarod, and I'll be your instructor for the next seven weeks. Hopefully the class will be both fun and educational for everyone. In our first class, we'll be looking at who you are: If you're looking to play a role, you have to know yourself, to know which roles are best for you. If you're looking to catch a conman, you have to know how to get inside their head, which is generally called profiling and will be something that you'll have to get into with a different teacher."

"So, today, you'll be taking a personality profile. Once you have those results, check out
this guide of career choices based on that profile. It'll be easier for you to play a part if it's natural to you. If you're looking for a conman, it'll be easier to predict which careers he or she might gravitate towards."

"Have fun, and ask me any questions, but today's just a way to get started."

[ooc: Same as before, no Jarod interaction until tomorrow after 6 pm.]

"Okay, I'm an ENTP: Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving." Jack paused and smirked. "Or, Enticingly Near to Perfect."

"Hey, we're only one letter off from being the same."

Jack grinned at her. "Which letter?"

"I'm ENFP. What does that make me?"

Jack gave that some thought, studying her carefully. "Excitingly, naughtily, fantastically perfect?" he offered, still grinning. "And have we actually met? I'm Jack, in case we haven't."
nadiathesaint: (cheerful)

"We have. I killed things at your 18th birthday party. I'm Nadia, though."

"That explains it. Everything earlier than about two months ago? Is a complete blank. So, pleased to meet you again, Nadia." Head cocked in curiosity, he asked, "Anything in particular you were killing?"

"Little demon things. It was fun." Nadia frowned at him. "What happened two months ago? Or do you not remember that, either?"

Jack smile began to fade, but he pulled it back up. "I disappeared about three and a half months ago, and woke up here six weeks later." He shrugged. "Don't know what happened or where I was, but I'm back here now. Hopefully there won't be any more little demon things, though."

Overhearing, Cameron just rolled his eyes.

Noticing both the eyeroll and the person responsible for it, Jack raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm surprised you need to take this class. Tell me, are you John or Cameron today?"

Cameron raised an eyebrow right back at him, it took a moment before he realised what Jack was getting at. "Looking like someone hardly requires skill."

"It's not your appearance - more your willingness to pretend to be the other person." Jack made a show of giving it some serious thought. "But you're right - that doesn't take any skill, just an inclination to deceive." Eyes glinting, he grinned, showing more teeth than was strictly necessary. "So I guess you're in the right class after all."

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-07-10 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Cameron sneered and shifted forward in his seat. "Deceiving and pulling a prank on newbies is hardly the same thing," he replied, keeping his tone even. "So why are you here? Trying to come up with better lines to get girls in bed with you?"

Jack just tipped his head back and laughed. "I had no idea you were so funny. Seriously, that's a good one. Maybe you should have signed up for the Entertainer class, put that talent to good use."

"Thanks, but I'll pass," Cameron remarked and smirked. "I wouldn't want to draw attention away from your near perfection after all."

"Don't worry, you couldn't. Not that you're not adorable in your own right," he said reassuringly. "And not that I wouldn't be happy to give you all the attention you want." The last was accompanied by a suggestive tilt of the head. "All you have to do is ask."

"I don't know, I think the results are pretty accurate," Jaye says, once she's done eavesdropping and eyerolling.

fates_jaye: (direction)

Jaye smiles a little at the eyeroll. "ISTP," she says. "Or, istp."

"And just think of all the jobs you'd be suited to," he offered, smirking as reached out to tug gently on a lock of her hair. "What's the official description?"
