Archery Workshop #1, 5/23, Danger Shop, Afternoon

As the students entered the Danger Shop, set up like a standard classroom for today, they were greeted by a diminutive, black-and-white Japanese girl in a silk robe, perched on a corner of the teacher's desk munching on a chocolate chip cookie. Next to her were a stack of handouts, a sign-in sheet, and a tray of assorted cookies from Jeff, God of Biscuits.

Written on the board behind the desk was, Sign in. Take a handout and a cookie. Direct any questions to the instructor. Behave. Or else.

Miho studied her students with a critical eye, trying to determine which of them were most likely to shoot one of their classmates by accident or try to take more than one cookie.

Dean plopped down in a seat near Dawn, grinned at her, then glanced through the handout.

He didn't see anything that didn't make sense or that didn't match up pretty well with the rules Dad had always had when training them: take care of your weapon, don't horse around with them, and don't shoot your brother.

Finished reading, he looked up and around, but there didn't seem to be any next step.

Maybe he was missing something. He leaned over and asked Dawn, "Is this all we're doing today?"

"Maybe?" Dawn whispered back, wondering what about her clothing choices for the day made other people think she knew what was going on.

"Well that kinda sucks." Dean looked at his watch and fidgeted, wondering how long this class was. Too long, if this was all they were expected to do. He glanced over at Miho again and decided he wasn't going to ask, just in case this was some kind of weird Ninja patience exercise or something.

"How'd the morning workshop go?" he asked Dawn.

"No one died yet, though the scene's still being played," Dawn said proudly. "Okay, that was helped considerably by the fact that they weren't real people, but that's not the point. And Jamie Madrox had bandage issues."

"Not dying is good." He frowned slightly. "How do you have bandage issues?"

"I'm not sure," Dawn said, still a bit grumpy at Jamie. "But I'd have choked him with them after this morning. Did you hear what he and his psycho bunkmates did?"

Dean nodded. "Hard to miss all that mad quacking you girls had to endure." He grinned. "And the birds were making a lot of noise too."

"And the cold morning weather?" Dawn giggled a lot. It really had been a good prank. "Let's just say it wasn't kind to them. And Jamie mooned us. And the singing...oh my god, the singing."

Dean's smile got bigger. "They're not going to be topping the charts any time soon, that's for sure."

Dawn facepalmed. "I'm starting to hope for zombies, just to give them something else to do."

"If you need any help in coming up with something to get them back..." Dean offered.

Dawn grinned evilly. "Thanks, but I think this is a girl thing. I have the beginnings of an idea already."

"Oh?" Dean raised an inquisitive eyebrow.

"You want to ask Miho and find out for sure?" Parker suggested, her smile very slightly evil.

Dean glanced at Miho then back at Parker. "You just want to see me get ninjafied."

"Duh." Parker looked up from her handout with a grin. "But she might not kill you right away, you know. She might answer the question, *then* kill you."

"The relavent part of that sentence being 'kill you'," Dean pointed out.

"True. But never mind. I think Sam's going to ask. If she kills him first, then we won't have to worry about you." Parker grinned at him.

Dean looked over at his brother, but Sam didn't seem like he was about to do anything particularly stupid, at least right that second. "Sammy's brighter than that," he told Parker with as much confidence as he could project.

"I'm sure he is." Parker nodded like she totally, totally didn't believe that.

This was getting faintly ridiculous. "And besides, Molly just asked a question and there was no bodily injury."

"She must be in a good mood today. Probably just sizing us up." Parker cocked her head. "Or maybe she knows that Molly is invulnerable, so there would be no point." She grinned.

Dean smiled slightly. "You can sneak up on him when everyone is watching the carnage?"
