Archery Workshop #1, 5/23, Danger Shop, Afternoon

As the students entered the Danger Shop, set up like a standard classroom for today, they were greeted by a diminutive, black-and-white Japanese girl in a silk robe, perched on a corner of the teacher's desk munching on a chocolate chip cookie. Next to her were a stack of handouts, a sign-in sheet, and a tray of assorted cookies from Jeff, God of Biscuits.

Written on the board behind the desk was, Sign in. Take a handout and a cookie. Direct any questions to the instructor. Behave. Or else.

Miho studied her students with a critical eye, trying to determine which of them were most likely to shoot one of their classmates by accident or try to take more than one cookie.

"I'm wounded. Truly," Dean said, though his eyes were laughing. "My Y chromosome is one of my best features."

He leaned closer. "What do I need to do to convince you?" he asked waggling his eyebrows at her.

She leaned over and wrinkled her nose at him. "What do you have in mind?"

"Stuff I'd probably get in trouble for talking about in class," he said with a grin, resisting the urge to kiss her nose because class with ninja teacher.

"Awww." She pouted. "Your butt would look good with an arrow sticking out of it. Plus, I could practice my first aid."

"Really? Because I'm sure either Sam or I could arrange to shoot you. Or Buffy, maybe."

"We could just pretend the shooting bit and just move on to the practicing first aid," Dean counter suggested.

Dawn looked at him like he'd lost his mind. "You want me to stick gauze to your butt if there's no reason?"

"Is this a tape thing?"

Dawn was blushing hard. Possibly radiating. "Right," she squeaked.

That.. might have been taking it a little too far, Dean realised, at how red Dawn had gotten. "Seriously though," he said trying to pull back a little, "if you do need a guinea pig to practice on -- wrap bandages, do a splint, whatever -- I'm at your disposal. Anything I can do to help."

Dawn's face was still pretty red, but she was beginning to calm down. "Thanks. You're a brave person."

"Goes with the whole demon hunter thing," he said modestly, giving her a wink.

"Uh huh," Dawn said. "Because I've never fled from a demon, or seen my friends and family do it. Nope, not at all."

Dawn snorted, then caught a look at Sam and Molly talking. She leaned over to Dean. "Hey, y'think? I know Molly's not dating anyone..."

There was a moment where something internal asked Dawn what she was doing, but she staked it quick like a vampire.

Dean looked over at Molly and his brother speculatively. Molly seemed like a really sweet girl... "Could work." He glanced back at Dawn. "The problem though will be getting Sam to ask."

"Why? What's wrong with Molly," Dawn asked, offended on her friend's behalf.

"Nothing," Dean said quickly. "Sammy just doesn't seem to be able to bring himself to ask any girl out." He paused. "I don't suppose you could maybe get Molly to ask him...?"

"Why can't Sam ask girls out? Did he have a bad experience?" Dawn asked, then sighed, "No, I don't think so."

"He doesn't actually have... any experience." An uncertain expression crossed Dean's face. "Least that he's told me. But I can try working on him some more."
