Driver's Ed, April 21st, Periods 1-2

There are several giant robots.

"If everyone could find the Zord that matches the schematics I assigned you last week, I'd like you to get in the cockpit and start experimenting with the controls. Remember- nothing you do will cause any lasting damage, as this is just a simulation, so don't worry."

Anders paces around, peering at the control schematic in his hands and then at the, um, giant stompy animal assault vehicles. How the frak is he supposed to tell which one of these goes with which GSAAV?

"Uhhhhh, Doctor O?"

"Yes, Conner?"

Anders sighs. He seriously has no idea where this "Conner" thing keeps coming from ~~mwahahahahahaha~~ and it's getting quite frankly freaktastic.

"Anders. Not Conner. ~~Just like Conner is not Connor OMG.~~" He tugs at his hair in frustration and looks around again. "I have no idea which one of these I'm supposed to be assigned."

Tommy just gives ~~Conner~~ Anders a "omgwtfDUH" look and points to the T-Rex. "That one's yours."

Anders gives Tommy a "omgwtfbbqITWASNOTTHATOBVIOUS" look and says, "Oh. Hey, red. Cool. Um. How do I get up there?"

"Jump," Tommy says, and manages to say it completely straight-faced. Yes, it'll work. No, he doesn't really know *how*. Ask Hayley or something.

Anders stares at Tommy. Then looks up, up, up, up, upupupupupupupadnauseam at the T-Rex Zord. ~~And wonders how a jump is going to get him up there, since he is not gifted with a disproportionately powerful red spandex suit.~~

"Jump," he echoes disbelievingly. "Riiiiiiiiiiiight." Hey, he's a Pyramid player, not a basketball player. Pyramid players don't jump.

But he tries it anyway, and --

"Holy frakkin' -- whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooa!" he yelps as he goes rocketing up in the air and somehow ends up inside the T-Rex what the frak?

Tommy gives Anders a thumbs-up.

"Um, Doctor Oliver, sir? Which should I be using?" Cally asks.

"Kira, you're in the Pterodactyl."

"Thanks sir," Cally says.

She proceeds to get into the Pterodactyl. By jumping. It makes no sense, but she does it ~~because it's from a half hour show and you don't ask questions~~.

"Okay, weird."

"Hi, coach!" Anders yells, waving enthusiastically at Cally from the inside of the T-Rex Zord.

Ever seen a T-Rex waving like an eager and caffeinated teenage boy? It's weird.

Cally eeps. Because guess what? Pteradactyls fly.

"I hate this part, I hate this part," Cally says, flying about at rather quick speeds.

"You might wanna try slowing down!" Tommy says, a bit flailing-ly.

"I'm supposed to jump? How does that work?" Zero flailed, then stopped flailing because her latte was sloshing around. "That completely defies the laws of physics!"

Tommy just shrugs helplessly. He doesn't understand it either.

Zero sighed and jumped. "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" And then she was in the cockpit. "Ooh, joystick."

Ooh, Tricerazord on a rampage. "It's like a video game!"

Were Tommy gifted with any sort of Jedi-like abilities, he'd probably be muttering something about having a bad feeling about this right now.

Zero, who had faithfully studied her schematic, WTF-ing all the while, punched the intercom button. "Can we play bumper cars with them?"

"...I'd prefer it if you didn't?" Tommy facepalmed.

"Oh. Squall." Zero'll just have to make her own fun.

Meanwhile Cally has discovered a different button on her controls.

"Hey, maybe this'll slow me down," she says, and presses it.

"Hey, what's this button do?" Zero said. It hadn't been labeled in her schematic, she thought.

So she did the perfectly logical thing and pressed it.

Anders has likewise discovered a rather inviting and mysterious button.

And, being enamored of the shiny, well . . . he presses it.

The Pterodactyl appears to be folding. With Cally inside. This is... yeah. Kinda scary.
