Driver's Ed, April 21st, Periods 1-2

There are several giant robots.

"If everyone could find the Zord that matches the schematics I assigned you last week, I'd like you to get in the cockpit and start experimenting with the controls. Remember- nothing you do will cause any lasting damage, as this is just a simulation, so don't worry."

"Oh. Squall." Zero'll just have to make her own fun.

Meanwhile Cally has discovered a different button on her controls.

"Hey, maybe this'll slow me down," she says, and presses it.

"Hey, what's this button do?" Zero said. It hadn't been labeled in her schematic, she thought.

So she did the perfectly logical thing and pressed it.

Anders has likewise discovered a rather inviting and mysterious button.

And, being enamored of the shiny, well . . . he presses it.

The Pterodactyl appears to be folding. With Cally inside. This is... yeah. Kinda scary.

And the T-Rex is doing weird reconfigurey things with its limbs, while Anders flails in panic inside.

He flails at the comm button. "Um. What the frak?"

"AGH WHY IS MY THINGUMMY FOLDING WHAT THE SMACKING SQUALL?"

Tommy just stares.

Okay, and now Anders's not-quite-a-T-Rex-anymore is doing a weird hovery thing, and Cally's Pterodactyl and Zero's Triceratops are both sort of being drawn toward it like a magnet.

"Um, guys? What the frak's going on here? Are we gonna collide?"

Okay, when the pterodactyl splits into piece, Cally kinda shrieks as the pieces hurtle towards the other two transforming zords.

And now Zero's screaming like a little girl. "MOVE ANDERS I'M GONNA HIT YOU AND I CAN'T STOP IT!!!" There's latte all over the cockpit from her flailing. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Anders? Totally flailing now. Even if he knew which control did what at this point, he'd probably make the damn thing do the complete opposite of what he actually wants to do.

"Uhhhhh." He flails at the comm unit, like that'll help. "Brace for impact, guys?"

Cally braces. And whimpers.

When the pterodactyl joins the collision and she ends up somehow next to Anders? She blinks a few times.

"Okay, what just happened?"

Then the triceratops joins with the red thingy and she is standing with Cally and Anders.

"What just--THIS COMPLETELY DEFIES PHYSICS!"

"I didn't think I'd programmed that in..." Tommy says, bewildered.

"Programmed what in, Doctor O?!?" yelps Anders. "What the frak just happened?"

"You guys just formed the Thundersaurus Megazord," Tommy says weakly.

"The Whozasaurus Whatasword?"

"The Thunder What?" Anders scratches his head. And hey, since Cally's here all of a sudden, he can't pass up the opportunity to give her a hug. "Hi, coach. Aren't you glad we didn't actually crash?"

He paces around the miraculously larger (though still slightly latte-spattered) cockpit. "Okay, I still don't know how to steer this thing."

"Yes. Crashing bad," Cally says.

She then fiddles with the controls for a second.

And that sends the Pterarang hurtling across the simulated area.

"Eep," she says.

"It's--it's all not-real, right? RIGHT?"

"I think so," says Anders, who's totally hanging onto Cally's arm by now.

And watching the Pterarang keep on . . . hurtling.

The thing about the Pterarang? It returns. So now it's hurtling back at the Megazord.

"Oh frak," Cally says. "How do we catch it?"

"Uh, Zero, I think you have the arm controls in front of you," Tommy says.

Zero lunges for the controls and, through some lucky miracle, manages to make the arm catch the pterarang. "Oh. My. Squall."
