Wednesday, 4/12, Library is Open

Zero is in a very strange mood today. How strange? Well, she's listening to the Dixie Chicks on her headphones. Come by and rescue her from herself or study or something.

Showered and with still-damp hair, Angela is in the library.

She looks kind of grumpy. Might be better not to bother her.

After talking to Zero for a while, Peter risked talking to a grumpy-looking Angela. "Hey, Angela. I heard you have a birthday coming up."

Angela raised her eyebrows. "Today," she said. "I'm 17. Or 27, in, like, actual time."

"Oh, happy birthday, then! Sorry I didn't get you a gift, but I didn't know. Want a stick of gum as a present?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, and Isabel and I were talking the other day and it seems like we have a small birthday spree going on this week."

"Depends. What kind of gum?" Angela asked. "And yeah, Isabel's is this weekend, right? Are there a bunch of other ones?"

"I don't know. I don't have any on me. But it's your choice, I'll pick some up," Peter said. "But, yeah, Isabel's on Friday, I'm on Saturday, and at this rate the entire senior class is probably on Sunday."

"Bubble Yum peppermint?" Angela suggested. "And I had no idea this was your birthday, too." She thought about it for a second. "We should do something. Maybe Monday, so we can habve half-price Easter candy."

"Sounds good. Next time I see you, there shall be Bubble Yum," Peter said. "And that sounds like a good idea. A little party for the three of us and maybe anybody else who straggles in with a birthday."

Angel came in not long after third period had started. He looked for Parker.

He then stood still and wondered how long she'd spin before noticing him.

Parker saw him on one pass, but spun three more times before she came to stop. "Hey. There you are." She blinked a little to make the dizziness go away.

Angel looked at her with bemusement. He held up two fingers. "How many do you see?"

Parker grinned. "Two. You're talking to a pro here, what do you think?" She stretched her arms, and cracked her knuckles. "So. What'd you need?"

Angel grabbed a seat and dragged it over near her. "Information. You're usually good with that."

"True. What kind, and where do you want me to start?"

"I need a place to live after graduation," Angel said. "I've narrowed it down to my dimension and Los Angeles, but I need more to go on. Zero was able to help me out and get me started, but we couldn't be sure it was from the right place."

Third period in the library on Wednesday was practically part of Peter's schedule at this point. "Hey. How's my favorite library aide today?"

"I meant my favorite aide besides her, of course," Peter said.

"Oh, I'm just swerval. Slow day, unless you count Cam's suicide attempt."

"Suicide attempt? Did that have anything to do with the book thing I heard about on the radio?" Peter asked.

"Maybe he tasted some of the slime that's been going around recently," Peter said. "That stuff can't be good for you."
