Zero is in a very strange mood today. How strange? Well, she's listening to the Dixie Chicks on her headphones. Come by and rescue her from herself or study or something.

"Can I get you anything? A towel? Some water?" And then some clear, liquidy stuff fell.

"The water's not dangerous either." And again. "Dammit."

Zero got splashed by the water both times, which helped with some of the slime. "This is not going well."

"It is not," Peter said. "At least nothing got soaked except for us, right?"

Zero glanced down at the collections desk between them, which was remarkably dry and slime-free. "Wish that effect transferred to people," she grumbled. "And hey, you're not slimy any more!"

"No, I'm not. Which will make my test next period a little more dealable," Peter said. "Too bad you're still slimed. You're all gross and stuff right now. Ew."

"Yeah, sorry about that." Zero blushed a little under the slime. "Hey, you wanna do something sometime? I've got a movie you could mock mercilessly."

"It's called Hopeless Savages 'cause I couldn't think of a better title. When're you free?"

"Oh, is this the film school movie you told me about? I can't wait to see it!" Peter said, somewhat giddily. "Saturday's out because of Poker Night andit'smybirthdaybytheway, but Friday night would be perfect. A movie date without leaving home. And with fewer arms than last time."

"Um. Maybe," Peter said. "It's no big deal, really."

"Of course, I already traded the night part of that away by volunteering for Poker Night," Peter said. "But, really, it's just another Saturday. Except maybe one with presents!" He didn't mean that, of course.

"What do you mean, maybe? Of course with presents!" Zero began wondering about the logistics of an afternoon party except she's already going to be busy during the day.

"Yay presents, then," Peter said. "Okay. Nothing big, though. Simple is fine." If she wanted to go big, he couldn't stop her, but he wasn't requesting or necessarily hoping for it. And Saturday party is out anyway.

"Good," Peter said. "Okay, since my player is all sick and is demanding sleep I have to get dry before my test, I should probably head off." He leaned over to kiss his slimey girlfriend. "You should really do something about that slime. I mean, you make it look cute, but the other slimey people are just going to get jealous."

"Yeah, I'm off to get clean now. See you Friday night, if not before." Zero thought it was very sweet Peter would still kiss her when she was all slimey.
