It was a beautiful, if hot and sticky (not dirty) (at all.) (for any of you.) (*rimshot*) day today, and so Anakin was making everyone meet in the park with a set up that would be familiar to those who'd been around for the shenanigans last year.

It's trebuchet building time, and this year the target was the park's pond-lake-thing, and not the crater that Bel had left in the park 11 years ago, though Anakin was sorely tempted.

Beaker stood next to him in his crash helmet as Anakin began bellowing through the megaphone. "There will be three teams of six," he began. "And as I have run out of regular t-shirts, I have provided beautiful patterned shirts."

No one would possibly think these were beautiful.

"Listen for your names, then brainstorm out a easy to assemble trebuchet and construct it! When you are finished, summon Beaker over and shoot him into the pond. The team close enough to dead center--" he pointed to a target floating on the water, "--wins."

Though no one won wearing these shirts. Force alone knew where he'd gotten one big enough for Sidon.

Well.

Nina floated above her shirt dubiously. Her little white wings keeping her hovering there as she, a small pink snake, studied it the best she could. She was pretty sure it was really ugly.

First, like, she wasn't sure she could wear it—it looked like it could fit her usually?—and then she wasn't sure, like, she was going to be any help at this activity. Construction? Hahahahaha.

But… sure.

One flying pink snake reporting for duty?

At least she and Vette were on the same team!

"Okay," said Summer, as she looked over her shirt, "I should be worried that I kind of love the crap out of this, right?"

Because she honestly wasn't sure anymore. Sure, cats and rainbow-spewing sharks were pretty bad-ass, but she also knew that her taste level had become highly questionable over the last year or so, and a second (or third or fourth) opinion could be valuable at that moment.

Sidon would have much rather been on Team Kitty-Dolphin for obvious reasons, but he certainly wouldn't complain about Team Pizza Kitty, either, though those were clearly not pizzas on the shirt, and just when he was starting to feel slightly less confused about clothing in general...

But it was always so nice that there was always one of his size, and so he would wear it without issue, with eagerness, really, especially for solidarity and support for Team Pizza Kitty!

...eh. Rosa'd worn worse before.

She was, however, wearing her shirt with an expression just daring anyone to mention it to her. There were clearly more important things at hand here, like beating Blackstone at her own game with this one.

Looking over her team, though, Rosa...did not feel very confident about this at all.

These activities were seriously giving him the best birthday present ideas for Noctis.

On the one hand, getting to actually build something was incredibly appealing to Wayne.

On the other hand, his team 'colors' were something that needed to just go straight into the glitter-shirt-bonfire, no questions asked, no second guesses, no take-backsies.

"Wearing one of these," Wayne grunted, sounding offended that these words had even crossed his mind, much less his lips, "is not required for participation."

It was almost as if he was willing it to be true, but he didn't know if this was a fact or not, so his brow creased and he looked pleadingly away from the monstrosity as he asked, quietly, "Is it?"

Amaya had remembered this one from last year...and she remembered losing and feeling like it was a great injury to her professional pride, so she was pretty fired up to see it come around again, and she was not planning on repeating the past if it could be helped! She put on her shirt without any nonsense or complaint and turned her attention right to the materials, clapping her hands and rubbing them together as she tried to put together a plan.

"Alright, team!" she said. "Let's get this thing done! Who's good at what?"

Seeing Blackstone already rallying her potentially more capable troops, Rosa realized they needed to get on this if they were going to even come close to winning and, if anything, it had been a while since they got to see Beaker being launched at things, she was all for getting to that part and beating Blackstone at the same time.

"Okay, guys," she said, "trebuchets are, like, super easy and we've got Leviathan over here to help us make a really big one, so we've got this."

It wasn't an encouragement, that we've got this. It was more like a demand.

Though with the temperature as high as it was, the winner was really Beaker for getting to be wet.
