Try Not to Die, Tuesday, May 9, 2017
Anakin's workshop met outside the Travelocity office, and he greeted them in his traditional Jedi robes. "Welcome to my class," he said. He pointed to a map of the world that the Travelocity gnomes had given him. "For those of you new to this planet, we are currently here--" he poked the map, "--in Maryland, in the continent of North America. Our travels today will take us to South America, down here--" another poke of the map. "To a nation called Peru. They speak a different language there called Spanish. If you happen to speak it, that will make your lives a little easier. If you don't, well, I hope you're fluent in hand gestures."
That aren't considered rude in Peru. "You will have to complete two tasks while in Peru, and then find me at the final stop. Don't get hurt, don't get arrested, don't get lost. Ready...go."

Road Block!
: [OOC: First flight: FN-2187, Hyacinthe, Kaylin. Second flight: Rey, June, Merrill. Third flight: Jason, Ahsoka, Khadgar, Jyn. You can have found the ticket quickly, but pulled badly ;)]
Re: Road Block!
Ahsoka felt no reservations whatsoever in using the Force to find the closest envelope. Which of course was for the last flight.

Re: Road Block!
By the time she started digging for her own ticket, all she could find was one for the last flight.
Re: Road Block!
Last flight. Of course. Ugh.

Re: Road Block!
what up, Anakinbut she was used to it. She'd credit that with why she had very little problem finding a ticket, but unfortunately it wasn't the early one. Oops.Re: Road Block!
To those who didn't know what he was about, it likely looked like Hyacinthe simply sauntered over to a random section of dune, stuck his arm into the sand, and pulled out a ticket.
For the first flight. Naturally.

Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
Your flight lands in Huambutio, where you get to choose between two tasks: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket.
In Rope a Llama, you must rope two llamas (either one at a time, or two together if you think that will be faster) and walk them waaaay over to the farmer waiting for them, who hand you your next clue. In Rope a Basket, you first have to put on traditional hats and ponchos before lugging a 35 lb (16 kilo) basket of alphalfa two-thirds of a mile down the road to a shopkeeper that will hand you your clue.
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
Given Ahsoka's only previous experiences with llamas had been Kuzco, she opted for carrying the basket.
The poncho wasn't a problem, the hat on the other hand...or montral, rather.
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
It actually went better than you might think; it wasn't quite like handling halla, but she managed in a decent amount of time.
Well. Until she got distracted for a good long while by talking to the llamas.
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
Okay, he was decent with animals and he didn't really have experience with llamas, but he still managed to make it to the farmer without too many bruises.
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
She was used to carrying heavy weapons and was stronger than she looked despite her size, so she opted for the basket of alfalfa. The hat and poncho were a little ridiculous, though.
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
He donned the hat and poncho (noting, with a certain amount of satisfaction, the prevalence of red shades), picked up that bucket of alfalfa, and made it to the shopkeeper without so much as straining a muscle. And yes, he maybe walked a little faster than most humans ought to be capable of while carrying something of that weight, but hopefully no one noticed.
It did occur to him, as he put down the bucket, to make something of a show of how tooootally tired he was after carrying something that heavy for all that way, though.

She did not do too bad here!
Re: Detour: Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket
Hyacinthe was also good with people. And when he spotted the farmer's pretty daughter peeking out at him from the side of the barn, well...One thing led to another, okay?
Hyacinthe was not going to be first. Hyacinthe was not even going to be in the top five.

At least he'd have had plenty of warning she was coming.
