Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
Everyone might have been getting ready for the fall semester, but it was definitely still summertime in Fandom. The temperature was high, the wind was low, and it was only going to get hotter once everyone arrived.
There were chairs and tables set out around the lawn, some in shady spots and some out in the sun, and there was a long table ofmoddable food culminating in a table full of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet choices. There were also stacks of nametags for people to label themselves with, and lists to help folks find their siblings and roommates. With everything in order, it was time to welcome some new people!
[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Lord, how long had it been since he was that new kid, trying to avoid conversation with... everyone?
He wasn't going to admit it sort of made him feel old, no.

RE: Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
That would have been madness, Didi. Madness!
//Hello, luv. Nice day for a picnic, hm?//
It generally was, though. Unless it was raining something.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
Every kind of day was her favorite kind of day.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
Which... was probably more or less an accurate statement.
//At least after this sort of summer.//
Also accurate.
//So, did my eyes deceive me, or did I see your name on the school's course calendar this semester, luv?//

Not quite the same thing as lurking, but it'd probably be much less distracting.
"What about you? You're teaching with Hannibal again, I saw."
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
//I might be persuaded to step in at some point to chat with the students,// Jono replied, before nodding a little. //And Hannibal and I enjoyed last semester's inspiration class so much, we decided to give it another go. Smaller lot of students to keep track of, though I suppose that's just a sign that there aren't as many creatives among the student body as I remember.//

Hi, Jono. Parker remembers you. Hellos are for people she hasn't met. Well. Sometimes.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
It was okay, Parker. Jono knew plenty of abrupt people. It was kind of endearing, with most of said persons, anyway.
//Yourself?//

Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
//Inspiration,// Jono replied, amused. //Which is mostly just a fancy way of saying we're going on field trips with some arts and crafts time thrown in for good measure. And I'll be teaching it with my partner, actually. Seems like a good arrangement all around.//
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
So do you, Parker, just not as much as you would if you weren't sneakily hiding in air ducts.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
Unless he was playing coy and being a brat, anyway.
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
RE: Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
Totally possible.

He smiled and came to lean by Jono, drinking a cucumber, mint, and basil soda. "How are the new people looking so far?"
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
//Not bad,// Jono decided, looking out over the new batch. //Though it's hard to tell just by looking. They mostly seem normal to me, after all of that time back in Westchester.//
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
A beat as he glanced across the lawn at one of the new faces.
//If with a slight tendency towards alcoholism.//
'Slight.'
Re: Meet Your Teachers [Fall 2015]
He smiled at Jono. "We should take our students somewhere they'll be in the minority this term. It could be enlightening as well as inspiring."
