Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There were chairs and tables set up all across the lawn; some were by the bonfire, for the people who wanted to be warm and central to everything else at the picnic, and some were set farther away from the action, for the people who wanted more peace and quiet.
There was no escaping the glitter though. Sorry, but not really.
[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
And as much as she wanted to see the new kids, she was cold enough that people were gonna have to come to her -- or, at least, she was going to just quietly watch from the coziness of her hair. It helped that she didn't like dragging all seventy feet of it all over the place in crowds like these, too, and honestly, there were enough people here that she'd probably be finding her way back to her room sooner rather than later.
But still! New kids!
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
Foucault honked a hello.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
Because she didn't know. Maybe giant birds were like dogs and liked that?
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
"I still can't get used to winter," Cecil confessed. "But at least it's not raining or snowing or anything yet."

Which was maybe a plus side to this whole winter thing.

And then he'd be cold, but he was used to it.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
She hadn't mustered up the courage to go talk to any, yet. Even if she was kind of blaming it on the cold, anyway.

That was how she remembered it, anyway.

Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
"Is all of that yours?" she asked. "I mean, is it real?"
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
"It's all mine," Rapunzel said, straightening up a little with a small smile. "And it's all real, too. It's okay, you're not the first one to ask."
Not that the girl had said anything, but Rapunzel was pretty used to people feeling bad for asking, for whatever reason.
"Are you new, today?"
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
Not only did the girl have exquisite hair, but she was actually dressed like a normal person, and not -- whatever all of the other people here seemed to be wearing. Which was nice! Just not, well, exactly ... what she was expecting, per se.
"Oh! Oh, I didn't introduce myself." The girl with the liquid gold hair was getting a curtsy. "Anna, of Arendelle."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
Because of course everyone in the country knew each other, Rapunzel.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
She fidgeted, a touch awkwardly. "It's complicated," she said, hoping she hadn't just made one of Elsa's friends think badly of her. "We'll -- we're going to talk later."
They were, because she would hunt Elsa down if she had to to make that happen. But she was trying this thing called 'patience' right now.
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
"I know the her that's here!" Rapunzel assured her, nodding eagerly. She worried her lower lip a little, because things sounded -- complicated, yes, perfect word. But it wasn't really her business, but she also didn't want to pry, but Anna seemed really nice and if Elsa had her reasons for being standoffish it...frankly, kind of just sounded like Elsa. "Um, and the her that's here is...private?" she offered. "I don't know if that's how she is at home, but Elsa's, um. Reserved."
A pause, and then: "And I'm Rapunzel!" in a rush, because oh gosh, how rude. "Of...Corona," she added, with a shy little smile. Yay, neighbors kinda!
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
She hadn't decided yet if it was some kind of clean freak status or social anxiety, but those were her two best guesses right now.
"Corona?" she added, reached out to clasp the other girl's forearms. "Oh! I know where that is!"
Nobody all day had mentioned a place she knew. This was wonderful news.
"You have that light thing every year! The candles? I've never seen it but I've heard it's beautiful."
Re: General Mingling [Spring 2015]
This was clearly really, really important to Rapunzel -- sorry, Anna, she was going to freak out a little over this.
