Umbridge High School Building, Saturday Evening

There were some clouds hanging around the spires of Umbridge High School, but not enough; there was an overlaying sense that there shouldn't be as much sunlight shining down on it as there was.

It was quiet. Kind of. There was tension in the air, a wound-up strung-up thing that ensnared the school. Somehow it seemed as if even the birds didn't want to touch down on the building itself, and the gates seemed to fold into themselves, even if they weren't quite shut.

And all that on a weekend, too.

Outside, Kitty had made everyone hold hands, held her breath, and phased them through the building right along with her. Welcome to mutant powers, boys and girls.

When they got to what she was pretty sure their destination was, Kitty poked her head through the wall just to make sure she had the right place. When she saw she did, she stepped out through the wall with the others and let go of their hands, since allowing everyone to be able to touch things might be helpful.

"Anyone call for a rescue?"

Kitty hadn't been on island long, and didn't know most of the people in here. But there was at least one person who felt sort of obvious to her, for some crazy reason, and of course he was the one holding the dead body.

She came over and knelt by him, saying softly, "Bobby?"

The cold didn't bother Anna, of course, and so she bent down next to Bobby and told him matter-of-factly, "This is disrespectful. You need to let her go." Take it from a dead girl, Bobby.

The half-crazed, wild-eyed man with freaky looking hair stared at the girl coming through the wall.

He blinked a few times before throwing his arms up in the air and shouting "YOU'RE A KITTY!"

"I'm glad you're glad to see me?" she tried. Believe it or not, that was the first time she'd gotten that greeting. It probably would not be the last.

Kitty pulled off her backpack, opening it up and offering her the chance to look once she'd pulled the plastic bag of medical supplies out of it. "I brought a few moddable things."

Cassidy was a bit shocked by the new arrivals and her first instinct was to hide. Visitors coming down here was never a good thing -- and with all of the chaos and yelling she started looking for a place to hide and try to avoid any further pain or confusion.

She looked around for people she knew to see if they knew what was happening, all the while pressing herself against the wall and trying to remain unseen.

Here was a familiar face who was looking on in a bit of shock and then she smiled slightly.

The others had rescuing and healing to do, but Leon had only one reason for coming with them today. He searched through the prisoners until he found her, and rushed to her side.

"Rinoa."

It was a sigh of relief. It was a plea of desperation. It was a declaration of triumph.

It was the first time he'd allowed himself to speak her name in years.

It was loud, suddenly. People were talking to each other, and ... the room was more full?

It didn't matter. Rinoa was waiting for this to be over. Time had stopped having any meaning, in here.

She heard her name, but didn't look up. The shirt-wrapped in bedding bounced, once, in her lap, but even that was unenthusiastic. She felt so tired.

"Woof."

Bruce was in his corner. Trying to fight through the crack's that Raven had left behind.

And suddenly one of those cracks began to crumble.

And Bruce began to smile just a little bit as his eyes turned green.
