Umbridge High School Building, Saturday Evening

There were some clouds hanging around the spires of Umbridge High School, but not enough; there was an overlaying sense that there shouldn't be as much sunlight shining down on it as there was.

It was quiet. Kind of. There was tension in the air, a wound-up strung-up thing that ensnared the school. Somehow it seemed as if even the birds didn't want to touch down on the building itself, and the gates seemed to fold into themselves, even if they weren't quite shut.

And all that on a weekend, too.

Well, at least he was aware enough to acknowledge that someone had spoken his name. By... turning to glance at her slightly, his expression somewhat puzzled. There was something familiar about her, but he couldn't quite place where he'd seen her before.

"It's Kitty," she told him, offering a little smile that she hoped was reassuring. "We came to get you guys out of here."

Bobby's arms, circled around Sookie, gripped a little tighter. "All of us?" Yes, he was including the corpse in that question.

"All of you," she said. "I want to get Sookie out first, if that's okay."

She'd never met Sookie, but you didn't walk into detention trying to take a body while calling her "the girl who died in detention" the whole time. You learned the name.

No, apparently it wasn't okay. "You want to take her from me," he said, with clear undertones of 'like hell'.

"I want to get her out in case there's trouble," she told him. "She shouldn't have to be here anymore."

Well Bobby couldn't disagree with that, but. "She's staying with me."

"I can take you both, you know," she told him. "At the same time, if that's what you want."

Bobby considered that. That was... acceptable, he decided, nodding in assent.

"Okay, good," she said with a smile, and stood up. "You ready?"

Bobby shifted Sookie gently in his arms, and then stood. "I'm ready."

"Come on over by the wall," she said, leading him over there. "Do you know how this works?

If he hadn't immediately recognized her, she wasn't going to assume.

Bobby nodded. "You'll phase us through."

"Right," she said.

She put a hand on his shoulder and started into the wall... which still felt unfortunately solid. Luckily she figured that out because her foot hit the wall first rather than her face... There were times and places for slapstick and this was not it.

"Uh oh."

"You're blocked now. Like the rest of us." Well. Technically Bobby's weren't blocked so much as barely controllable, but it worked out to more or less the same thing.

Kitty let go of him, trying to put her hand through the wall again. "This is annoying," she muttered, which was code for 'please tell me I didn't just accidentally turn a bunch of people in to detention forever.'

"They're working on it," she said, trying for confident. "It'll just be a minute."

The look he gave her as he pulled away and sank back down to a crouch on the floor probably conveyed the fact that he didn't believe her quite clearly.
