Her eyes take in Janet, evaluating how the other girl is holding herself. "I didn't say this yesterday, but you look like you're feeling better, a little."
"You're more into English and creative writing, aren't you?" asked Janet. "I remember you had that with Professor Chaucer last semester. Let me know if you ever need help with math. I'm pretty good at it."
She smiled wryly. "When I'm not busy running into book carts, at least." Janet rubbed gingerly at the spot on her side. "I'm not normally such a klutz."
"They could be worse," said Janet, taking a cup of coffee. "I can take a deep breath and not wince. The jury's still out on whether I should hold off on laughing too hard." She decided to skip cream and sugar today, and just started drinking her coffee black. "How are you doing this morning?"
Parker gave Rory a narrow-eyed look as she came in. "I couldn't find you after the... thing. Last night." She crossed her arms and gave a good impression of pissed-off.
"An extremely strong dosage of sodium thiopental. It's a very common barbituate, strong-acting, and it was calibrated for a larger body weight than Darla's." Janet's voice was hard, but quiet. "It didn't take effect immediately. Do you have an approximate body weight? I can give you a dosage for a normal human or for something else."
"One-sixty, one-seventy?" She sighed. "It's Belthazor, you can probably guess his weight better than I can. And he's half-demon, something pretty exotic."
Second Period
Re: Second Period
"I am never taking a first period class again," she says as she dumps her backpack behind the counter.

Re: Second Period
"But math? No way am I ever taking math in the morning again. Too bad I needed it for college."
Re: Second Period
"Is it too early to deal with numbers?" asked Janet. "Or just to early to deal with anything?"

"I was in hiding. But I brought you a peace offering."
She held up the bag of chocolate, looking pitiful.
