"They could be worse," said Janet, taking a cup of coffee. "I can take a deep breath and not wince. The jury's still out on whether I should hold off on laughing too hard." She decided to skip cream and sugar today, and just started drinking her coffee black. "How are you doing this morning?"
Parker gave Rory a narrow-eyed look as she came in. "I couldn't find you after the... thing. Last night." She crossed her arms and gave a good impression of pissed-off.
"No." Parker accepted a cup, then conversationally said, "And why am I not killing you? Although supplying me with the coffee and chocolate is a step in the right direction."
"I was thinking more that I might end up, I don't know, levitated and dumped out a window." Parker rolled her eyes, then unwrapped a Dove and popped it in her mouth.
