Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

Nadia pulls off her coat, sweatshirt, and then tshirt, the quickly pulls the sweatshirt and coat back on. She starts hurriedly ripping her tshirt into strips and twisting them up.

She grabs a few bottles of liquor from Pippi's stash, soaks the rags from her shirt, and stuffs them in the bottle, making several molotov cocktails, and pulls out her lighter.

"Okay, let's start melting stuff."

Nadia lit her first cocktail and lobbed it into the group of snow demons, hoping the fire will help slow them down. Now, if they had a really big, wet/dry vaccuum cleaner, and worked really, really quickly, maybe they'd have a chance.

The snow demons did not, in fact, have a really big wet/dry vac. They didn't even have a carpet sweeper that went "hod-d-d-d-d-d."

Most of them scattered, but one unfortunate snow demon took the cocktail right in the face and melted with a rather pathetic sizzle.

Nadia cheered and grabbed another bottle.

The remaining snow demons were not so pleased by this turn of events and seemed to redouble their pace, advancing toward Nadia.

"Oh govno," Nadia redoubles her efforts, tossing more and more cocktails.

Approximately half of the cocktails, maybe a little more, hit than miss, leaving clouds of steam and melted snow creatures behind. This apparently motivates the survivors even further, though...

Nadia starts backing up hurriedly as she fumbles for more cocktails . . . but she's run out of shirts. And into a wall. "Um, hey, can we make a deal? . . . ¿Habla español?"

BigScary is nowhere to be seen...

More then enough of the smaller ones around...

They're running out of booze...

Pippi scrabbles up a tree and finds a branch that's dry enough.

With a sad sigh she wraps her blue scarf around it and reaches for the bottle of Jameson's (NOT THE JAMESON'S).

She pours enough to wet the scarf, not all of it, just enough to soak, and lights it on fire.

She jumps down and yells at the snowmen closing on Nadia...

"Hey. You malformed lumps of Ache Two Oh!!! Over here!"

Nadia takes advantage of the distraction to grab the last of the bottles she has, take off one of her socks, and make one last molotov. She hurls it into the group and shouts to Pippi. "Maybe a strategic retreat is in order?"

Pippi was brandishing her flaming branch like some kind of pig-tailed Samurai warrior.

She spared a glance at the Clinic.

Should they let it get over-run?

Was House in there?

Wouldn't they need it as intact as possible for anybody who was injured?

Would it do any good if they got hurt trying to hold the clinic?

Pippi knitted her brow...

"I... Don't know." she shouted back, and swung at a one-eyed snow creature.

The flaming branch melts enough of the one-eyed snow creature that the resulting steam blinds it for a few moments. It flails about aimlessly, but anyone within reach of its arms might take a ringing blow.

Pippi continues to beat on the one-eyed, partially melted, snowman like a step-child that does not have red hair. She kicks it to knock it over but as she does so, she doed indeed catch it's arm with mid-section.

"Oof!"

She falls back, the wind knocked out of her for the first time in her life. Gasping for breath and staring up into the sky.

Gee-hosifat those things can be pretty strong.

Her branch is in danger of going out.

"Nadia!" Victor called, shooting a few creatures before holstering the gun and running over to the wall above his friend. "Here, grab onto my hands!" he said, reaching down to her.

Another icicle goes whizzing in Victor's direction.

"Woah!" he yelled, doing a backflip on the wall to get out of the way.

The boy is certainly agile. The snow creatures down below send two more icicles his way.

"Hang on, Nadia!" Victor called, rolling to the side to avoid the icicles. Unfortunately, one smashed into the wall too closely, and the shards nicked Victor's cheek.

"Ow!" he exclaimed, and tried hard keep up his concentration. "Bitch ass!"

No, no, no. Having failed to fully protect Nadia from a flying icicle, Walter does what he can to reduce the risk to Victor.

Hopefully this time he's not too slow.

Snow monsters don't speak at all, so it stands to reason that they don't speak Spanish. They might interpret this as something arcane and mildly sinister, though.

An icicle goes flying toward Nadia; if she doesn't duck out of the way quickly enough, it might nick her in the arm.

Or the icicle might be cut out of the air.

Walter can cut bullets into pieces, an icicle is cake.

"Leave her alone, you overambitious ice cream cone!"

It does indeed nick her arm. She curses in three languages and glares at the snow creatures.

If she had heat vision, they'd totally be done for.

She doesn't, though. She's probably the one who's done for. So she drops into a defensive stance and wishes she had better gloves.

Must have been shards from Walter not acting fast enough.

"Sorry!"

Another icicle whizzes through the air, this time in Walter's direction.
