Study Hall -- Monday, September 12th

Welcome to today's Study Hall, kids. For all you new students, Study Hall is an open daily post for me to make announcements and for students who are not in class to mingle, study, eat lunch, explore the lunch, cause incredible amounts of trouble that make me want to fucking fill them full of ammo, and other non-class-related activities.

Today's announcements:

-- New students should make sure they are signed up for three classes and an extracurricular activity (part-time jobs count). They must post once a week in each class they have (or more, depending on the teacher's guidelines, but that's a school requirement). Keep that in mind when taking a class.

-- Our first detention will be this weekend. For you newbies, detention is a room you never want to enter unless you were planning on losing limbs in this lifetime. If there are any teachers who wish to run detention this weekend, that would really help, as the principal will probably be (OOC: Off celebrating her mun's birthday early ... woohoo!) otherwise occupied.

-- Reports are coming from the cafeteria that after a rather strange taste-testing incident this morning, the staff recommends that you do not eat the chicken salad sandwiches. From what I heard, everybody who's tried them has turned into a chicken. Let's not overwhelm the school nurse with an overabundance of shape-shifting poultry today, shall we?

-- There's been a reported sighting of a zombie on the third floor of the dorm. Whoever raised the dead on school property without the proper paperwork will be immediately given detention this weekend. Oh, and if somebody could wrangle the zombie, that'd be nice.

He approaches the guy who posted the ad, looking around doubtfully. Max has glasses, sparkling braces and a zit glowing on his chin.

"I'm hoping you can help me, young man? I've been searching for junior achievers... and I'm afraid I'm having a hard time spotting any."

Rory sits down across from Angelus and says quietly, "I'm interested in that club you're starting." She grins at him and thrusts out a hand. "Rory Gilmore."

River wanders in aimlessly, examining everything and nothing all at once, then sits down in Angelus's vicinity with a wooden pencil in one hand and a plain, college-ruled notebook in the other. "I heard you're starting some club? Juior Achievers, right? I think I'd be interested. That is, if you can guarantee that someone interesting will show up."

She stares at him inquisitively, thinking: What snake in what woodshed?

John wanders up, looking like he's been debating whether or not to do this and has finally resigned himself to asking. Taking a deep breath, he says, "Hey, I've been hearing something about a Junior Achievers club. You the person I need to talk to about that?"
