Study Hall -- Monday, September 12th

Welcome to today's Study Hall, kids. For all you new students, Study Hall is an open daily post for me to make announcements and for students who are not in class to mingle, study, eat lunch, explore the lunch, cause incredible amounts of trouble that make me want to fucking fill them full of ammo, and other non-class-related activities.

Today's announcements:

-- New students should make sure they are signed up for three classes and an extracurricular activity (part-time jobs count). They must post once a week in each class they have (or more, depending on the teacher's guidelines, but that's a school requirement). Keep that in mind when taking a class.

-- Our first detention will be this weekend. For you newbies, detention is a room you never want to enter unless you were planning on losing limbs in this lifetime. If there are any teachers who wish to run detention this weekend, that would really help, as the principal will probably be (OOC: Off celebrating her mun's birthday early ... woohoo!) otherwise occupied.

-- Reports are coming from the cafeteria that after a rather strange taste-testing incident this morning, the staff recommends that you do not eat the chicken salad sandwiches. From what I heard, everybody who's tried them has turned into a chicken. Let's not overwhelm the school nurse with an overabundance of shape-shifting poultry today, shall we?

-- There's been a reported sighting of a zombie on the third floor of the dorm. Whoever raised the dead on school property without the proper paperwork will be immediately given detention this weekend. Oh, and if somebody could wrangle the zombie, that'd be nice.

EDIT: Also, by request ... [livejournal.com profile] fandomhighicons.

*walks up to your desk and dances back and forth from foot to foot*

Hi! *Chihaya's voice is far too chipper for the hour* Um...are you who we're supposed to see about the Junior Achievers Club?

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoa! Dial it down, kitten. Not all of us are morning people. But yeah, I'm the guy. Why, interested?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
*ducking and grinning, he smiled at [livejournal.com profile] notsouledyet and whispers*

Sorry, yes I am.

[OOC note: it is hard to the Chihaya is a male because he does look very feminine, but he is a guy]

[OOC: *hard to tell...need coffee too!]

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[OOC: No worries. Fortunately it's in-character for Angelus to be an asshole and call him kitten anyway. ;)]

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[OOC: LOL And Chihaya is pretty naive, he wouldn't consider it asshole behavior and is actually tickled someone -goodlooking- is talking to him]

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Fabulous. What can you do for us?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Uh...before I was thr-...came to school, I used to write reports. Aaaaaand I've been told I can put a positive spin on almost anything!

*Chihaya grinned and shifted his book back up on his shoulder*

I can't do much else yet but I'm willing to try!

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! *Chihaya's voice rose in volume.* And I was told my reports were very thorough...when I got the hang of writing them.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Down from 11, pumpkin, down. And I dunno. Sounds like you might be a little more for the white hats than our little club.

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
*Chihaya's smile did not diminish. He did remember to lower his voice again.*

White hats? I don't get it...

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Good guys. Do-gooders. Puppy savers. That sound like you?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
*Finally, Chihaya understood. He nodded energetically.* Sort of, yes. I haven't had to save any puppies. Kagetsuya said that wasn't in my job description. But in my reports back to Ede-...um...Archang-...my boss, I was supposed to report on all the positive things Earthi-...people did.

*He shrugged and let his backpack fall to the floor, rotating his shoulder.* Kagetsuya, he's my partner, was supposed to report on all the negative things about EarthiaaPEople and told me that I that I was far too trusting. But I told him I wasn't, I just knew how to look for all the positive things in people. That's when Archang-...um...my boss told me that I had a 'knack' for finding the positive spin on everything.

*Chihaya nodded as if it all made perfect sense." That's why I was a positive checker...before...aaand know how to make things look their most positive when writing reports and things. *He ended his spiel with a very large grin.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Positive reports, huh?

*Angelus ponders this.*

So if, say, one of the professors was to ask what our little club was up to, what would you tell them?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I don't know what exactly you are going to do which is why I was curious but just from reading your flyer I would tell them..."Junior Achievers is dedicated to the further development of the leaders of the future. We will discuss pertinent information dealing with national as well as global issues and how they'll impact the present and the future of the world as well as practical subjects like how to dress for the workplace, how to make sound business decisions and interpersonal relationships."

*after that Chihaya nodded* That's just from your flyer.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. You know, we may have a use for you after all. How good are you under oath?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
*Chihaya shrugged* I guess it depends. As long as no one gets hurt by me keeping an oath, I can! *He grew very quiet for a moment.* I know how important secrets can be sometimes...

*Agitated and excited came right on the heels of quiet* But I do know right from wrong and sometimes you have to break the rules in order to make someone happy or help them.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Sure. Something like that.

I mean if somebody made you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but so help you God. What would you say about me?

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
*blinkblink* I...don't know. I don't know you but you seem like a nice guy. You've been very friendly!

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, kid. I'll keep you in mind.

[identity profile] positive-angel.livejournal.com 2005-09-12 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
OK! Thanks! It's been really nice talking to you! *Chihaya chirped again. He picked up his bookbag and trotted off to class*
