The Library is Open - 12/8/05
Having cleared a lot of cataloging in the last few days, Methos finally retires to his office to open the package that came for him on Monday.

Actually, I can see Methos' reaction to that: pause. cough. carefully brush soot off his face with a Kleenex.))

Methos then turns to his package, which should contain non-conbustable photocopies of an ancient book.
[[Goofy today, are we? :) ]]

RefugeesHigh School group need to go Christmas shopping. We're thinking Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Also, Liz has been staring at the Art Institute's webpage for the past week now. We were thinking it would be easiest for us to arrange a cultural field trip and--" Janet shrugged and did her absolute best to look innocent. "--we need a faculty sponsor. I figured since you have so manysignificant otherspeople to buy gifts for, you'd be themost easily talked into itbest choice."Shall we note that this is in Methos' office and thus not overhearable?
Re: Shall we note that this is in Methos' office and thus not overhearable?
"First, because the library assistants are also invited, and you want to make sure we don't get in trouble off school grounds. Second, because you can see the Field's window display
omg, they're changing the name, rage!, and third, because we're all very responsible, capable individuals who won't cause you any trouble at all.If you believe that, I've got some wonderful land in a place called Chulak to sell you. Also, it would actually be very wrong to ask Daniel to do it."Janet held up a brochure. "Besides, I've never been to the Art Institute. See? Cultural experience. I'll even be nice and say please."
Re: Shall we note that this is in Methos' office and thus not overhearable?
"Actually, I think it would be a brilliant idea for Daniel to do it. Since he's dating a student. I at least only date teachers. Multiple teachers, but still."
Janet still had that *look* in her eye. "All right, fine. Since you said 'please', and for no other reason. Certainly not because I'm a sucker, or anything."
Re: Shall we note that this is in Methos' office and thus not overhearable?
"And the fact that Daniel's dating a student is why he should never sponsor a school event that I go on," said Janet. She gave him another look. "It would be highly improper."
Janet smiled at him. "Thank you." She pulled a folded piece of paper out of her pocket and handed it to Methos. "It's just a few people. The Colorado folks and the library assistants."
Unfortunately, Janet hadn't realized that her guest list had gotten mixed up with the list of people who had books on hold for them.
Guess which list was given to Methos in a comedically perfect--yet highly improbable--incident?no subject
Noticing Dr. Pierson and Janet talking in the office, she takes a seat behind the collections desk and pulls out a notebook. She means to work on her poetry homework, but really she's doodling.

She gave the student a once-over. "You're not one of the five million Chosen Ones at this school, right? Because we don't allow anyone to put that on their application."

Do it. Check to see if you can get some of that sooper sekrit e-mail encryption
Instead of a paper airplane he wads it up into a little ball and throws it back, bouncing it off Parker's head.

The next spitball merely says:

Anyone who approached her might be able to make out the word, "Pageant," before being ignored.

That Antonio Banderas was in some of these pictures was a complete coincidence.
