COMBINED CLASS: Ethics and Science of Sexuality [March 31, 2011, 1st period]

A visibly annoyed Anakin was at the front of the classroom of both normal students and those in the Science of Sexuality, who'd been handwavily, yay! asked to arrive as well, trying not to catch Holmes or Watson's eyes. The droid in his arms was wailing loudly. Really, this was far too irritating. And not his fault.

...somehow.

"I'm not certain if it's spread to all of your assignments yet," he said, "but I went into my office and was greeted by a closet full of droids that won't stop crying. We are trying to teach you all lessons about the responsibility of children who don't disappear after a weekend, ones who can't talk to you and tell you what they need, but we aren't trying to drive the entire dormitory around the bend. Please return the droids to me and I will figure out where their programming has gone faulty. I'm sure the island is to blame for this somehow."

Because Anakin didn't get programming wrong, okay? Ever. And so he was just a little oversensitive about this going south. Or a lot sensitive.

"Tell us what you've learned over the last few days," he concluded. "Ethics students in particular: was this a good way to learn the consequences of lust?"

Helen was more relieved than she could say that the droid babies were to be returned. She'd been trying to figure out what she had done to annoy Professor Skywalker that he would program her baby to cry constantly.

If Warren was anything resembling stupidly relieved that he hadn't actually had his turn with Baby Joy yet, he was very, very carefully doing all that he could to keep that relief off of his face.

It wasn't working so well.

Thank fucking goodness. Nathan was just glaring at the whiny and loud droid baby. He didn't know how people dealt with this all the time. He was done. This kid could go and explode for all he cared.

Momoko wanted to cry herself. She wasn't a horrible mother, the baby didn't like Jason more than her, the cats hadn't hurt the baby in some weird way she couldn't figure out, and the professors didn't hate her enough to give her a bad baby to fail with!

On the other hand, she had lots of cute baby clothes that she never got to use. She'd donate them somewhere after her nap. Her long long looooong nap.

Oh, thank every probably-apocryphal god out there, even the mad megalomaniacal one they only talked about on Auron when they wanted to compare a mad megalomaniac to somebody even worse.

Sleep? What sleep? Cally had been expecting to hand baby Joy over to Warren today anyway, but she hadn't expected to be nearly this relieved.

Rinoa felt bad that there had apparently been an assignment that she had missed.

On the other hand, she was also herself for the first time since mid-February, and had had a long, restful night's sleep last night, so she couldn't feel too bad about it.

The fact that they were discussing lust did make her blush a little, considering where she had spent the night ...

Jason was relieved that their assignment was cut short and that he hadn't had to deal with the baby while it was apparently breaking. He shot Momoko a sympathetic look though, feeling bad about what she might have had to deal with.
