COMBINED CLASS: Ethics and Science of Sexuality [March 31, 2011, 1st period]

A visibly annoyed Anakin was at the front of the classroom of both normal students and those in the Science of Sexuality, who'd been handwavily, yay! asked to arrive as well, trying not to catch Holmes or Watson's eyes. The droid in his arms was wailing loudly. Really, this was far too irritating. And not his fault.

...somehow.

"I'm not certain if it's spread to all of your assignments yet," he said, "but I went into my office and was greeted by a closet full of droids that won't stop crying. We are trying to teach you all lessons about the responsibility of children who don't disappear after a weekend, ones who can't talk to you and tell you what they need, but we aren't trying to drive the entire dormitory around the bend. Please return the droids to me and I will figure out where their programming has gone faulty. I'm sure the island is to blame for this somehow."

Because Anakin didn't get programming wrong, okay? Ever. And so he was just a little oversensitive about this going south. Or a lot sensitive.

"Tell us what you've learned over the last few days," he concluded. "Ethics students in particular: was this a good way to learn the consequences of lust?"

"Okay," Rinoa said. He might very well be from a world similar to hers. Most people here weren't, but that didn't mean he was. She was going to have faith.

"I was possessed by a Sorceress from the future," she said. "She tried to use me to end time itself. So we had to kill her."

... That had better be some amazing coffee.

John took a long, long sip of his coffee.

He very, very carefully set his cup down.

And then he cleared his throat. "Sounds like a spot of... unavoidable excitement," he said.

When in doubt, go British.

Rinoa at least had the decency to look embarrassed.

"If it helps at all, it sucked," she offered.

It probably wasn't really clear how that was something 'helpful,' exactly, but she meant it nicely, nonetheless.

"Yes, I... rather took that from the description," John agreed quickly. "'Possessed' doesn't exactly sound very... cheery."

"Neither did the bit where she tried to absorb time," Rinoa said. "At least it's over? So I mean -- I won't be missing more class from that whole mess?"

"Sherlock and I appreciate that," John said, unaware of how couply that sounded until five seconds later.

He hid his wince with another sip of his coffee. "Well, I suppose since you had a good, er, reason--" absorbed time, possessed by a sorceress, "--I don't see any reason to mete out punishment."
