Library, [01/02]
Jono had better things to do today than take in some bloody picnic. Like chill out with the books. Jonothon liked the books, damn it. The only chewing that he was expected to do on them was only in the most figurative sense, and he wasn't expected to do any socializing or speaking to them, and--
Had Jonothon ever mentioned how much he had always wished for this sort of excuse to avoid the hell out of the Welcome Picnic?
This was because Jono was an antisocial plonker.

Mod your library!
Talk to Jono!
... Honest!
God, he dreads newbie days so.

Re: Talk to Jono!
Jono settled into the hug easily enough, even if the whole... welcome picnic thing did have him a bit on edge. Not a semester went by that he didn't manage to unwittingly scare the crap out of someone by talking. He didn't suspect this semester would be any different.
//Or are you just used to my work schedule, by now?//

Fire. Telepathy. Mutant with a self-worth complex. Same old.
//I think I lucked out, this semester. Having to work through th'picnic, I mean.//

//Terrible, hm?//
It must be terrible. Just look at that Serious Face!

Hiding!
On newbie day.
So excuse the little redhead with her arms crossed over her chest, tapping her foot as she looked over at Jono with a look of chiding disappointment. Words, she felt, were not necessary.
Re: Talk to Jono!
//Don't give me that look,// Jono sighed. //I haven't been in to th'library in weeks. I can't just go missing shifts all willy-nilly now, can I?//
Not that Me. DeTamble was likely to care, he supposed.

Voices in their heads, Ariel. In their heads!

"If by unique, you mean coolest, guess what? I think you're really doing them a disservice. But maybe I am a little biased."
Re: Talk to Jono!
He waved a hand at himself. Ever the wordsmith, Jonothon was.
//You don't exactly inspire panic, I mean.//

Both were valid observations, with Rosalind, weren't they?
Re: Talk to Jono!
It had, after all, been several weeks.
Re: Talk to Jono!
//I appreciate yer thoughtfulness, luv,// he mused. //I don't suppose this stands any chance of becoming a regular event, then?//

//Well, I wouldn't have any reason to, would I?//
Admit it, Rosalind. You liked the Apathy Club. And it always could have been worse. It could have been Glee! He could have made you sing!
