201--Speech
Today is brainstormign and composition day. I'd like you to write a 5-7 minute speech on friendship. Be sure to include an anecdote about someone you consider a close friend. Include why.

301--Friendship
[The desks are all gone, the room is open. There are snacks at the front of the room]
Today we are going to touch. Friendship and intimacy is often conveyed through non-sexual sensual experience. We hug, we kiss, we lean on one another [Looks at Chip]...and we express our closeness in a miriad of ways, everyday.
Ok, so as always, no forced participation, but please move around the room talking to one another and make physical contact in some way. Skin to skin...for example, holding hands, would be best...but do only what you are comfortable with [Looks at Rory]. I'm in on this too, so don't feel like I'm putting you on the spot.
Oh, and just a note...I don't care about your grades in other classes, and whatever you may have been commanded to do by another ethical student or instructor is null and void inside this classroom.
Ok, gang. Go.

She's in a very good mood, though she's not going to share why unless asked.
She looks around for someone to talk to.

"Hey," she says smiling. "You're Sydney, right? I'm Veronica. I met a friend of yours the other day."

D'anna scrunched up her face for a second in reaction to the assigned topic but, with a sigh, got down to scribbling in her notebook.

Giving thanks to the powers that be for sensible instructors, D'anna set down her coffee and joined the rest of the class in milling around.

Sorry I'm late. *produces Doctor's note* Here's proof that I'm a gimp and that I was in the hopsital at the end of last week.
Speaking of the hospital, Parker would like me to get any handouts and notes she needs as she's there now.
[Business taken care of, Shep jots down some notes about how a friend is someone who gets your back even when you don't want them to, yadda, yadda, yadda. Shoehorns in a reference to a childhood friend who was there for him when his mom died.]

"We should be able to do this I guess," she says, holding out her hand.

"Please forgive me! Don't kill me!" He wails dramatically, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Please!" He leans back a little, still clutching her legs and speaks in a more appropriate tone. "Too dramatic?"
