Speech Comm

201--Speech
Today is brainstormign and composition day. I'd like you to write a 5-7 minute speech on friendship. Be sure to include an anecdote about someone you consider a close friend. Include why.

301--Friendship

[The desks are all gone, the room is open. There are snacks at the front of the room]

Today we are going to touch. Friendship and intimacy is often conveyed through non-sexual sensual experience. We hug, we kiss, we lean on one another [Looks at Chip]...and we express our closeness in a miriad of ways, everyday.

Ok, so as always, no forced participation, but please move around the room talking to one another and make physical contact in some way. Skin to skin...for example, holding hands, would be best...but do only what you are comfortable with [Looks at Rory]. I'm in on this too, so don't feel like I'm putting you on the spot.

Oh, and just a note...I don't care about your grades in other classes, and whatever you may have been commanded to do by another ethical student or instructor is null and void inside this classroom.

Ok, gang. Go.

After retrieving her coffee, D'anna heads over towards Lindsey. "Hey Linds."

Hey D'anna. How's it going?

*He holds out a hand, then grins at her*
You're not gonna try and hug the life outta me like Harkness did, right?

"Not too bad. You?"

She takes his hand and then nearly snorts into her coffee. "No. Not on the agenda. I'm a big fan of breathing."

Been alright, 'cept for Harkness trying to cuddle.

You got any people coming this weekend?

"I can see where that would be a little unsettling." D'anna's grin falters slightly as she sighs lightly, "No. Mum and Dad are still on assignment and Aunt J can't make it. How about you?"

[identity profile] wannabelawyer.livejournal.com 2005-10-26 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Nah. Nobody's coming for me. Don't really mind though.

"What do you make of these games we keep playing in here?"

[identity profile] wannabelawyer.livejournal.com 2005-10-26 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Dunno. They do make you think, so that's good right? And as long as nobody gets hurt, it's ok by me.

You?

She shrugs, "Not sure. Sounds better than the one they're playing in Ethics though."

[identity profile] wannabelawyer.livejournal.com 2005-10-26 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
The Ethics thing is weird. Can't really see what we're supposed to get out of it. My partner didn't show yesterday, so I dunno what'll happen with that.

It really freaked some people out. Serious freakouts.

"I didn't know you were in Ethics. Which are you, slave or master?" She pauses to look at him a second, "I can see where some might have a problem with the assignment. There's a high potential for abuse of power. Kinda like our collar experiment in here."
