201--Speech
Today is brainstormign and composition day. I'd like you to write a 5-7 minute speech on friendship. Be sure to include an anecdote about someone you consider a close friend. Include why.

301--Friendship

[The desks are all gone, the room is open. There are snacks at the front of the room]

Today we are going to touch. Friendship and intimacy is often conveyed through non-sexual sensual experience. We hug, we kiss, we lean on one another [Looks at Chip]...and we express our closeness in a miriad of ways, everyday.

Ok, so as always, no forced participation, but please move around the room talking to one another and make physical contact in some way. Skin to skin...for example, holding hands, would be best...but do only what you are comfortable with [Looks at Rory]. I'm in on this too, so don't feel like I'm putting you on the spot.

Oh, and just a note...I don't care about your grades in other classes, and whatever you may have been commanded to do by another ethical student or instructor is null and void inside this classroom.

"I don't know - I don't think we've practiced enough," he jokes, taking her hand and squeezing it gently.

Allie giggles and squeezes his hand back.

"I feel weird doing this in a classroom."

"Yes, that part is a bit odd," he says, glancing around the room. "But no one's paying any attention to us, it seems." He pulls her hand closer so he can kiss the back of it.

Allie's blush deepens, but she holds Logan's hand tighter.

"So do you still want to go shopping for Halloween costumes after classes? I have my peer mediator meeting at seven in the dorms."

"Sure, that works for me. I have History until 3:30 - I could meet you somewhere at 4:00." He thinks for a minute. "I don't even know where to start on that mission, though. Is there a costume shop of some sort in town?"

"Um, I have no idea. I'll find out though. Want me to meet you at the house at 4?"

"Perfect," he says kissing her hand again.

"Should we be talking to... other people, too?"

Allie shrugs. "I dunno, I'd rather just talk to you," she admits.

"That's fine by me," he says, grinning. "Hey, there's a bonfire on the beach tonight - do you want to go after your meeting?"
