201--Speech
Today is brainstormign and composition day. I'd like you to write a 5-7 minute speech on friendship. Be sure to include an anecdote about someone you consider a close friend. Include why.

301--Friendship

[The desks are all gone, the room is open. There are snacks at the front of the room]

Today we are going to touch. Friendship and intimacy is often conveyed through non-sexual sensual experience. We hug, we kiss, we lean on one another [Looks at Chip]...and we express our closeness in a miriad of ways, everyday.

Ok, so as always, no forced participation, but please move around the room talking to one another and make physical contact in some way. Skin to skin...for example, holding hands, would be best...but do only what you are comfortable with [Looks at Rory]. I'm in on this too, so don't feel like I'm putting you on the spot.

Oh, and just a note...I don't care about your grades in other classes, and whatever you may have been commanded to do by another ethical student or instructor is null and void inside this classroom.

"You're not allergic to flowers or anything are you cause my voice is nowhere as good as Daniel's."

"No, not flowers," she says smiling. "Angora....um....yes. Flowers, no."

"No angora, flowers are good. Got it."

"So what is it were are supposed to be doing in here again," she asks completely forgetting the assignment.

"Touch people and not get killed I think."

"Not getting killed and touching, good." she says.

"What if we touch people and kill them," she asks joking but with a very serious look on her face.

"Then I'm pretty sure the Professor kills us."

"God point," she says glad he didn't take her ~~completely~~ serious.

"So touching and not getting killed," she says as she touches his arms.

Jack takes a look at her awkward stance.

"I should probably stand up, huh?" Try as he might Jack can't summon the energy to move right now. "Maybe you should just sit down here too."

"Sure, standing is highly overrated anyways," she says and slides down next to Jack.

ooc: Mun forgot he was still grabbing her legs.......silly short term memory!

"So. Hi there."

"Hey yourself," she says back grinning, and leans her head on his shoulder.

"So." Jack started awkwardly. "How was your weekend?"

"Well, you know, except for the you on Friday part....." she trails off. "It was quiet. Rory had a birthday and Logan was a bunny so I was home alone."

"How was your weekend?" she asks.

Jack isn't sure whether or not he's proud that he didn't bat an eye at the bunny-guy comment.

"Eh. It was okay, didn't do much of anything really. Saw an old friend on Sunday though."

"I have an old friend coming this weekend," she says and looks at him still smiling ~~as if a demon boss coming to visit were the happiest of occasions~~.

"Technically, he's my old boss, but he's like a father so I thought who better to represent my family that D'Hoffryn!" she says, excited at the thought.

"Do you have family visiting this weekend?" she thinks to ask.

Heh. Her boss. That's ironically funny.

"Yeah, my odler brother Murray and my Uncle George are coming. It should be fun."

"How nice," she says trying to remember what her actual family was like. Sometimes it was such a pain to be old~~er that even Jack~~.

"Are you planning on going to Wednesday's Halloween party? I usually don't go to those kind of things since Halloween is so overrated. I mean, come on...witches just don't dress like that. Ghosts, hello. I mean if they were to wear sheets they wouldn't be crappy 100 count sheets like everyone tends to think......." she trails off trying to figure out what her point was.

Oh yes, now she remembered "But, I would certainly break tradition and go with you if you wanted to go."

"I'm actually already going with a group of friends. I'll probably see you there though."

"If I decide to go, you know, which I haven't," she says, not wanting to feel rejected.

"You should go though, it sounds like fun."

So, she thinks to herself. He wants me to go then?!

"Yes, well, if I can figure out a costume I might. I mean, you know, if you think it sounds like fun."

"You could always go as a teacher or another student if worse coes to worse."

After a brief silence, Anya laughs.

"Jack, I was just kidding! I have really got to get this joke etiqutte down better and not appear so literal," she says the last part mostly to herself.

"You can never tell around here really."
