Library, [11/17]

Okay, so Jono was a little late getting himself into the library today for his shift, what with having to travel back from Vail and all, but he showed up as soon as possible, considering.

So soon, in fact, that he still had his bag of laundry and his guitar with him, both of which were sitting behind the desk while he set to work, re-shelving books and silently, very silently, chuckling to himself.

Once again, it looked as though he'd gotten off easy today, didn't it?

[Open library is just that! Open!]

The Dr. Seuss book could have been a giveaway as well.

"Yes," he nodded. "Then it is giving you a much deserved rest?"

"If there is one thing that I learned today, it is to not assume about the island," he shook his head. "I had no idea it could affect us even from a distance."

"Ah, I apologise," Faramir said gently. "It occurred to me that it would be most uncomfortable to wake up in this form while on a campaign with the rangers. I would not know how to explain this."

"Then it would perhaps be easiest pretending that you are someone else," Faramir suggested. "Even if it would not explain why you turned up in such a place without their noticing."

Faramir nodded in understanding. "What if you told them that you are related? Would that not take care of both matters?"

"I believe that is what I would attempt," Faramir said thoughtfully. "The rangers wear masks, so I could probably manage to get away. As long as I discover something is amiss before everyone wakes up."

"Compared to most people around here, I have noticed that I tend to be up before most," Faramir said. "It is rarely that I meet someone on my way down to the stables in the morning. The only problem is that all rangers tend to be."

"It is, though we do have to patrol during the night as well. The orcs tend to move only when it is dark," Faramir explained. "I did not know it was required of musicians however."

"And now I am afraid that you will have to tell me what Rock and Roll is," Faramir laughed.

"I would not know what the difference is," Faramir however did look curious now. "Would you show me? I remember that you spoke of it before."

"Some people might even enjoy it," Faramir pointed it out.

"It can be relaxing and help with reading," Faramir reasoned. "At least if it has no one bellowing the words."

Faramir found himself a seat as he listened attentively to Jonothon, watching curiously how his hands moved over the strings. It did not quite have the complexity of the classical music he'd heard from Bruce, but the tune was pleasant enough.

"You play well," he said once Jonothon finished the song. "I like this much better than the music I had heard on the radio."
