Library [03/07]
It was just another day in the library, damn it.
Jono had heard the radio last night, yes, and he was well aware that the entire island had gone absolutely barking mad, but, come hell or high water, he was going to do his best to make certain that today was just another day in the library, damn it.
... Mostly, this involved playing Farmville.

... But they were cute, so he was going to just leave them to sit with a pink arrow over their heads for the rest of eternity.

//Really, mate? I might've never noticed.//
The phrase 'Welcome to Fandom' might have come to mind. If not for the fact that 616 wasn't much saner at the best of times.
Re: Morning
Jak shook his head. "I hope it wears off by the end of the weekend," he said, leaning over Jono's desk.
Re: Morning
He hadn't met Death yet, no.
//So long as it leaves me out of it, it can do whatever it bloody well likes. I'm not th'biggest fan of Fandom givin' me a face an' then takin' it away again, like it did th'last time it buggered around with who people were.//
Re: Morning
"Yeah," he said. Sympathetically. Jono spoke fluid Guy, he'd get the gist. "So it's been a weird couple of weeks."
Awkward segue, man, but he'd been putting off talking to Jono about... girls. And Keira. And stuff. And-- well, he wasn't much of a talker in general, so he wasn't sure how 'getting things off your chest' really worked anyway.
It was a good distraction from the craziness of the weekend?

If "they" were after him, "they" could come and find him. Or something. He jumped into the library, glanced at the shelves, then jumped to a different section.
And then to another different section.
Re: Morning
//Can I help yer, mate?//
The it was also very distracting while he was trying to fertilize people's crops.
Re: Morning
Re: Morning
Ever try looking for clues on an entire missing mystery section? Aside from being slightly ironic, it was bloody annoying.

Jean, Jean, Jean, you shouldn't pick men like that up. You don't know where they've been.
//Bloody hell.//
It was the goddamn Phoenix.
Re: Afternoon
"Hello, Jonothon."
Re: Afternoon
Definitely Jean. Possibly a touch more terrifying than Jean, and slightly more likely to eat suns. But still Jean. Absolutely.
//To what do I owe th'pleasure of yer company?//
Because holy hell, it was the Phoenix.

She walked up to the counter and leaned there, impassively watching Jono for a moment. She had a vague feeling of some connection to him.
"Hello, Jonothon."
Re: Afternoon
Pardon Jono for needing a moment to kind of gape, here.
//Uh... Hullo, miss...?//
Her name was sitting on the tip of his proverbial tongue. He was certain of it. He was also not entirely sure he wanted to remember it in the first place, because of the potential for his head hurting.
Re: Afternoon
"Death," she supplied. "You forgot me?"
She made a noise that would be tongue-clucking, except it wasn't entirely clear that she had a tongue.
Re: Afternoon
... Jono's brain just did that thing where it kind of stopped working for a moment. If he'd been a computer, he'd be seeing the world in a solid shade of blue with a blinking white square in the top corner.
Huh.
//Purple's a good colour for yer, luv.//
Yes.
