It was just another day in the library, damn it.

Jono had heard the radio last night, yes, and he was well aware that the entire island had gone absolutely barking mad, but, come hell or high water, he was going to do his best to make certain that today was just another day in the library, damn it.

... Mostly, this involved playing Farmville.

Her name was sitting on the tip of his proverbial tongue. He was certain of it. He was also not entirely sure he wanted to remember it in the first place, because of the potential for his head hurting.

"Death," she supplied. "You forgot me?"

She made a noise that would be tongue-clucking, except it wasn't entirely clear that she had a tongue.

... Jono's brain just did that thing where it kind of stopped working for a moment. If he'd been a computer, he'd be seeing the world in a solid shade of blue with a blinking white square in the top corner.

That seemed to please Death, as she preened and smoothed her robes over those unusually ample breasts. "I am fond of it, thank you."

Think carefully, Jono. There were important matters to take into consideration when you were dealing with Death.

Especially when you were dealing with your Death, instead of the one that you liked to call yours but with a 'Didi' tacked on, instead.

This place hurt his brain.

She hung there significantly, even though what she said should have been a weight off his mind. She wasn't his Death, or even his little-d death.
