Library [11/06]
And that was that, then. No more Halloween decorations, no more eerie sounds playing in the background. No more plotting tricks to take the place of treats in Jonothon's absence of a lower jaw.
And reading to do, for class, because he had been entirely out of sorts on Monday and he had to read up on Buddhism to make up for the utter daze he'd been during Lady Ghanima's lecture.
At least he was in the proper place for it.

Morning [11/06]
Re: Morning [11/06]
He had important work to do after all.
He had crops to harvest.
"What! No! Cats, why do you keep disappearing when I try and rotate you?" he exclaimed in frustration. Clearly, somebody needed to relearn the concept of libraries as quiet spaces.
Re: Morning [11/06]
//What the bloody hell are yer doin' over there, Drake?//

Re: Morning [11/06]
//Yer farming.// He was going to repeat this slowly, to be certain that sense was being made, now. //On... a book. Face? Face with a book? Wot?//
Sense was clearly not being made.

//It's a videogame, then?//

Impressive enough that he was now making his way around the counter to investigate whatever was on the screen of Bobby's tiny little computer-thing for himself.
...
//Are those cows pink?//

She had finished up all the Dusk series -- which had been awful, in her opinion -- and was now looking for something better. Preferably with more sex and less stupidness, but she wasn't going to say that aloud.
She waved at the guy behind the desk as she turned in her books. "Morning!"

//Morning, gel. Did yer enjoy the... er... th'reading material?//
Such as it was?

He had a small list, now. It baffled him.
//Th'name's Jonothon, by the way.//
Re: Morning [11/06]
//I'm Sookie. And there's a fair amount of us, here! I was surprise, too. Are we normal where you're from? 'Cause far as I know, I'm the only one at home.//
Re: Morning [11/06]
Jonothon... couldn't exactly avoid it, no.

It wasn't as though he knew sign language, after all. And even if he did, British sign language wouldn't do him a hell of a lot of good in America anyhow.
