Library [11/06]

And that was that, then. No more Halloween decorations, no more eerie sounds playing in the background. No more plotting tricks to take the place of treats in Jonothon's absence of a lower jaw.

And reading to do, for class, because he had been entirely out of sorts on Monday and he had to read up on Buddhism to make up for the utter daze he'd been during Lady Ghanima's lecture.

At least he was in the proper place for it.

"Okay!" She would do anything to get those cute sheep. "How do I do it?"

"Well, first you'll need a Facebook account, unless you have one already?" he was guessing she didn't, but it never hurt to check.

Question answered!

"This," he said, clicking away from Farmville and back to his home screen on Facebook. "Ugh, why does it keep going back to News Feed?" he demanded. He rolled his eyes at the comments on his last couple of ribbon achievements posted on his wall. They were from Scott, and all some variation of "I hope you're spending some time studying and not just wasting your time with this thing."

Never mind that Scott totally had a farm of his own. With nice, orderly rows and equal numbers of every animal kept in identical pens.

"It's, um... a social networking thingy? You add your friends and family and then can stay updated on what they're doing." Or what games they're currently playing. Same thing, really.

"Oooooh! Neat!" Sookie said, eyes wide. "...this game is part of that?"

"Yup," he nodded. "Your Facebook friends are like, your farm neighbors. And you help each other out and send gifts of like, farm decorations or animals. It's really cool." Even if he'd scoffed at it when he'd first heard of it. He'd seen the error of his ways, though!
