"Today we will begin the most important part of your costumes!" Edna announced as she wheeled in a hanging rack full of spandex body suits. Oh, you lucky people, you. (Don't ask how that last one snuck in there. It had been a Very Terrible Costume Concept.) "Measurements!"

She ignored any horrified looks or attempts to hide under tables. "Ms. Davis, my assistant," she nodded at Brooke, "and I will be measuring you so that the costumes you create for yourselves will fit! While you are waiting, come up with two preliminary concepts for your ensemble--include your logo from last week on one of them--and then ask a fellow student to critique!"

She made shooing motions. "Go! Scatter! Create!" She pointed at one student at random. "Except you. You get to wear Spandex first, darling."

"Absolutely not." Then Jenny realized she might actually need to try reason on the crazy awesome designer lady. "You can measure me all you like, but I'll wear spandex over someone's dead body. I haven't the chest for it."

"Don't worry, darling," Edna said, completely ignoring Jenny's protests, "the material is very forgiving. It's either this or stripping to practically nothing and only the tall pouty girls with the poofy lips seem to enjoy doing that."

"Of course it does!" she exclaimed. "It is merely a prototype. You aren't going to get any sort of personality in a prototype!"

She clapped her hands together, then pointed at the changing room. "Off you go!"

"You can't hunt in spandex," Jo protested, flailing. "You need leather, or denim, something that'll stand up to horrible sharp pointy teeth!"

"Feh, this is only a prototype," Edna said. "The suits themselves will be made of megamesh. Very sturdy. Now change!"

Francine, who had worn a spandex suit before, just sort of trembled. "Couldn't we use something--" Less tight. "More breatheable? Like... ooh, burlap!"

Fiona was ready for the spandex and, surprise of surprise, didn't fight it one bit.

She'd lived most of her life in clothing that didn't fit designed by a little old woman who seemed to consider seventies interior decorating to be the holy grail.

She'd wear the spandex and she'd get measured and her clothing would fit. That was fine.

"Finally, someone without an opinion," Edna muttered under her breath, dragging a stool over and measuring Fiona with rapid proficiency. "Any thoughts as to color, dear?"

Emma didn't object to measuring - that's what tailors were for, after all - but she drew the line at ugly.

"Spandex gives me hives, and is not flattering with my skin tone," Emma said. "Too shiny. What's wrong with leather?"

Jenny pointed at Emma with her burning cigarette. "Yes, her. What she said. Although I will say it's the next thing to impossible to get blood out of leather that's any color other than black, and then it's not that it comes out so much as it just doesn't show. So there is that for the stretchy stuff."

Claudia had no problem wearing Spandex. She made a beeline for the unicorn outfit (...of course...) and spent several minutes in the changing room adding accessories to the outfit before coming out.

The mane was now braided with ribbons, and she'd added a feather boa and some killer sunglasses. "Tada!"

Momoko was torn - yes she'd have a designer costume, but it would be spandex. Spandex wasn't... pretty. She stepped up to be measured.

"Uhm, is the whole costume going to be made of spandex? Is that all there is? Just a body suit?"

"No capes," Edna said as she stepped onto her stool. "But there will be footwear. Possibly a mask....I'll need to see your sketches."
