"Today we will begin the most important part of your costumes!" Edna announced as she wheeled in a hanging rack full of spandex body suits. Oh, you lucky people, you. (Don't ask how that last one snuck in there. It had been a Very Terrible Costume Concept.) "Measurements!"

She ignored any horrified looks or attempts to hide under tables. "Ms. Davis, my assistant," she nodded at Brooke, "and I will be measuring you so that the costumes you create for yourselves will fit! While you are waiting, come up with two preliminary concepts for your ensemble--include your logo from last week on one of them--and then ask a fellow student to critique!"

She made shooing motions. "Go! Scatter! Create!" She pointed at one student at random. "Except you. You get to wear Spandex first, darling."

"It's a blonde-thing," Emma agreed quickly, giving Jenny a nod. "Although I don't think blood actually comes out of anything very well."

"If it does come out of spandex, well, that's another strike against it. That's just unnatural, darling."

"Yes, but so is spandex. Not that I'm defending it. Merely an observation." There was a definite sardonic tilt to Jenny's voice as she added, "Darling."

"So if we're superheros fighting evil and unnatural things, does that mean we're against spandex by default?" Emma replied dryly. "I would rather not end up with an artistically shredded uniform for Great Justice."

"One of my former associates pulled off the artistically shredded look quite well. It helped that he had the body of a Greek god. He was also the only one of us who wore spandex. There's a 1:1 correlation there on both counts," Jenny said. "I'll pass."

"Not odds I'm willing to bet on," she answered. "What on Earth was your friend's power? Looking good no matter what?"

Emma was just going to assume there were powers involved, if there was blood, spandex, and repeated uniform shredding.

"Standard Majestic class package turned up to eleven," Jenny said. "Flight, invulnerability, speed, strength, eyebeams." She made a flipping movement with her hand. "You know, the usual. Only more of it."

"If that's the standard package, I'm afraid to know what's in the upgrade," Emma murmured. "It must be a rather large package."
