"Today we will begin the most important part of your costumes!" Edna announced as she wheeled in a hanging rack full of spandex body suits. Oh, you lucky people, you. (Don't ask how that last one snuck in there. It had been a Very Terrible Costume Concept.) "Measurements!"

She ignored any horrified looks or attempts to hide under tables. "Ms. Davis, my assistant," she nodded at Brooke, "and I will be measuring you so that the costumes you create for yourselves will fit! While you are waiting, come up with two preliminary concepts for your ensemble--include your logo from last week on one of them--and then ask a fellow student to critique!"

She made shooing motions. "Go! Scatter! Create!" She pointed at one student at random. "Except you. You get to wear Spandex first, darling."

Fiona was ready for the spandex and, surprise of surprise, didn't fight it one bit.

She'd lived most of her life in clothing that didn't fit designed by a little old woman who seemed to consider seventies interior decorating to be the holy grail.

She'd wear the spandex and she'd get measured and her clothing would fit. That was fine.

"Finally, someone without an opinion," Edna muttered under her breath, dragging a stool over and measuring Fiona with rapid proficiency. "Any thoughts as to color, dear?"

"If you'd seen some of the things I had to wear when I was younger, I think you would run screaming just from how badly they fit," she said quietly.

"My great-grandmother made all of our clothing."

Not well. Not well at all, as much as she loved Cee.

"Blue or black," she said with a shrug, "maybe with some silver."

"Excellent choices," Edna said, scribbling down numbers in her little book.

"That is all!" Edna declared. "Change back into your hobo suit and work on your ensemble!"
