Library, Sunday
Being himself this week meant Lee was a lot less rambunctious and a lot more calm during his library shift. He was still a little agitated for the fact that he'd lost something important but he wasn't taking that agitation out on the books or by running up and down the aisles.
No, later, he'd just punch a wall or something.
For now, he was paging through a catalog he'd requested on a whim, checking out a few different things and wondering if he could make it work. It was a complete whim and he still had no idea what he wanted to do after graduation but things were becoming a little clearer, at least.
And the catalog had pictures, if anything.

Jesus, Cal thought to himself, why isn't it this easy lying to girls?

It would be so much easier to hide that crap from other people and pinchy pirates without the jar.

He knew it had been when he was five and trying to run away with it, anyway.

"Dude; that's messed up."
But not as messed up as the fact that it sounded like Lee had a girlfriend that could probably best Claire at morbidity, and that was not fair.
"You honestly thought it could have been real?"

Cal was just going to stare a moment longer, trying to form words. He shook his head as if to shake them out but all he said was, "What?"
Quickly followed by, "Wait, no. Nevermind. Don't need to know that."

"I'll have to take your word for it," he said. "Uh, enjoy having your jar back, I guess?"
