Library, Sunday
Being himself this week meant Lee was a lot less rambunctious and a lot more calm during his library shift. He was still a little agitated for the fact that he'd lost something important but he wasn't taking that agitation out on the books or by running up and down the aisles.
No, later, he'd just punch a wall or something.
For now, he was paging through a catalog he'd requested on a whim, checking out a few different things and wondering if he could make it work. It was a complete whim and he still had no idea what he wanted to do after graduation but things were becoming a little clearer, at least.
And the catalog had pictures, if anything.

Morning
Re: Morning
And then just prayed that Lee just took it back without any questions. Because, really, the guy had a heart in a jar; not quite as bad as having been raised as a girl, but still.
So he went into the library that morning and plunked the jar down on the desk.
"I think this is yours?"
Re: Morning
"It's mine, yeah," Lee said, curling a hand around it and bringing it closer to him carefully. "How in the frak did you get it?"
Re: Morning
"I found it," he said, internally marveling at how the best ideas (just lie, of course!) only came when it was down to the wire.
Or not, as he realized he didn't have a connection between finding it and knowing it was Lee's. Maybe the lucky guess excuse might work?

Jesus, Cal thought to himself, why isn't it this easy lying to girls?

It would be so much easier to hide that crap from other people and pinchy pirates without the jar.

He knew it had been when he was five and trying to run away with it, anyway.
