Survive Your Own Cooking - 3rd period - (9/10)

In class today there were two piles of ingrediants ready to be used. A choice if you will.

Good and evil. Healthy and unhealthy. Black and white. Model and normal pretty girl.

...He was running out of comparisons.

"Good morning wee ones!" Deadpool said, looking out at the class. "Today we begin our very first dish! And since, I guess I'm supposed to 'teach you good eating habits'--seriously, who do they think I am? Weight Watchers? Ha!--you'll split into groups of two and get to choose which salad you want to make."

He pointed to a rather large pile of moddable candy. "Unhealthy?" And then swung his hand over toward the pile of also moddable vegetables. "Or healthy? The choice is yours to make. Choose wisely!"

Deadpool snapped and pointed at the class. "Get to work! And so help me, I'll assign you to teams next week if you don't do this well."

No word on what 'well' meant, but... best to just go with it.

Much as she liked salad, Wendy was also a big fan of candy as a food group. She looked around for a partner of the same opinion.

"Marco." Marco said cheerfully as he sat down next to Wendy. "Candy?"

"It is both tasty and delicious," Wendy replied, grinning. "Wendy."

"And a salad made of candy sounds awesome. How's Fandom treating your brain?" He asked cheerfully.

"Interesting," Wendy replied. "I need to put aside time to go see the zombies."

Wendy nodded. "Nor the ones who crave trout."

Marco blinked. "Sure. Or oatmeal."

Ned'd specialty wasn't salads but he couldn't help wondering how a candy salad would taste. He waited for a partner.

Cal took a look between the temptation of trying to seem very upstanding and going healthy and the fact that he had a sweet tooth as bad as anyone and also a love of chocolate that went rather nicely with his defunct ovaries. Not to mention the need to consume a lot of it to help get over his class before this one.

He also eyed Ned, who looked like he was waiting and was someone he knew, since he didn't exactly want to deal with someone he didn't know right now.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" he wondered, sizing up the two different options of ingredients.

"If you're thinking that healthy's boring and wouldn't provide the needed caffeine boost, then we're thinking the same thing," Ned said, nodding.

Not quite ready to just out and laugh, Cal did at least get a smirk out of Ned's response. "Not quite," he admitted. "But you make a very convincing point. I am biased in your direction, though."

"Candy salad," he said. "There totally need to be one. Especially since it's easier to do than making a vegetable candy bar." His face twisted even thinking about it.

"Candy salad was my next guess," Ned said even though no, it wasn't his next guess. "It'd require a lot less prep time too. No need to chop or dice or mince. Less chance of cutting a finger too."

"See? Totally safer," Cal agreed with a nod, looking over the candy selection. "All it really requires is trying to figure out what sort of candy makes a good stand-in for what you're putting in a salad..."

"Hmm." Ned peered at the candy critically. "Well, different chocolates could go well together. Chocolates and caramels and fudges. Any chocolates and things spiced with cinnamon and such. Those might be easiest. Chocolate and fruits would be a little harder because we'd have to be selective with the fruity candy."

Cal nodded slightly. "Don't want to overdo it and make it too fruity," he agreed. "You need a good base, though. Like salad has lettuce. Only there aren't really many, um...lettuce like candies..."

He narrowed his eyes slightly at the pile before reaching out and grabbing some thin licorice shoe laces. He them up with a questioning glance at Ned. "Noodles?" he suggested. "It could be a pasta salad..."

Hurley sat, looking from pile to pile.

On one hand, candy was awesome. On the other hand... okay, candy was still awesome. But the real salad might be cool. And... not make him look like a total pig.

Sam was just glad they didn't have to do anything complex with how distracted he was feeling, and looked back and forth between the piles as well.

"At least he didn't ask us to mix them," he said. "That might be kind of gross."

"Dude, yeah," Hurley said. "Lettuce and chocolate are two things that do not taste better together."

"I think chocolate should be kept away from most vegetables," Sam replied. "Do you want to work together?"

"I'm Sam," he said. "So, do you have a preference in what we make? I could go either way."

"You know, let's go normal," Hurley said. "Leafy greens are, like, important and stuff."

Sora was definitly torn between the two piles and debated with himself on if he could some how combine the two...

Yeah... partner was probably a good idea.
