There was a Meg standing in front of the class today rather than the Tyler that was usually there. She looked way more cheerful than any human being had any right to be this early in the morning.

"Okay, so Professor Durden has some stuff to do that's not here so that's why I'm standing here today and not him. Don't worry, I'm not going to teach anything. It's the last day of class and I don't think any of you would listen to me if I tried to teach anyways," she said. Meg also knew that some people couldn't handle the bouncy spaz that was her in the mornings. "Today we're going to watch a movie that has nothing to do with this class but, oh my god, is Russell Crowe hot in that little man-skirt."

"OH!" Meg bounced again. "Professor Durden told me to tell you that you guys rocked. And I agree. I'll even add an 'you're awesome'. You're awesome. There. Okay, movie time!"

We reschedule, she wrote, and hit him with it in his office. He won't be expecting that.

She flicked it back to Anemone's desk.

Francine, sporting a large reddish-purple bruise on one cheek from yesterday's dodgeball knockout, spent most of the brief lecture looking fretful anytime Meg mentioned some variation on "last class." Because this time it really was.

Last class. Last class. Last Class. LAST CLASS! Momoko was bouncing a bit more happily than usual today. Even though it was only two classes a week, and they were really cool and really really fun and not at all like school back home, she was excited to be done with them for at least the short time until the real ones started.

She needed a few days to prepare herself before opening a math book again.

Cal tried to at least look like he was paying attention, but his mind was drifting toward anything even remotely uninvolved with a classroom or workshop type setting. He just didn't feel like paying attention today, which meant it was probably a good thing there was a movie.

Cassandra spent the entire movie frowning. Those people didn't know how to fight at all! Most of those moves would get them killed in a matter of seconds.

Alice was trying not to blush. At least if everyone else was watching the movie, no one would know that she was paying a little too much attention to the delightful gentleman displaying their assets?

It had not occurred to her yet that at least half of the class was presumably doing the same.
