Living On Your Own - Friday - Period One

There was a Meg standing in front of the class today rather than the Tyler that was usually there. She looked way more cheerful than any human being had any right to be this early in the morning.

"Okay, so Professor Durden has some stuff to do that's not here so that's why I'm standing here today and not him. Don't worry, I'm not going to teach anything. It's the last day of class and I don't think any of you would listen to me if I tried to teach anyways," she said. Meg also knew that some people couldn't handle the bouncy spaz that was her in the mornings. "Today we're going to watch a movie that has nothing to do with this class but, oh my god, is Russell Crowe hot in that little man-skirt."

"OH!" Meg bounced again. "Professor Durden told me to tell you that you guys rocked. And I agree. I'll even add an 'you're awesome'. You're awesome. There. Okay, movie time!"

"So you are," he concluded, raising an eyebrow at her.

"Piss off, geez. Just because you haven't seen me be anything else doesn't mean I can't be."

No, she'd been shipper enough when they first talked. "There should be new students soon. You can break their minds."

That got a grin.

"I do like doing that."

"Yeah, I noticed," Ichigo grumped. Not that he minded anymore, but he couldn't not be grumpy about it. He had a reputation to protect.

"And, yet, you're still here," she pointed out. "So you must like it at least a bit."

"It could be worse," he glanced away at the television screen. He still didn't know what to make of this place. Whether he hated the lack of hollows or was grateful for the respite.

"That means you don't hate it," she grinned at him.

"At worst I'm bored with it," he replied stubbornly.

"Are you bored right now?"

Ichigo glanced at the movie. He'd seen it and it was cool at some moments, but... "Yeah."

She flung a pen at him.

"Ow." The pen hit and he rubbed at the sore spot on his head. "Quit it."

"Make me," Ino said, grinning at him.

He twitched. "Not here," he repeated his protest from last week.

"Where then?" Impudently.

"Wherever you like. I don't care," he crossed his arms.

"Neither do I," she tossed her head. "You're the one that keeps saying not here, not here--you pick the time."

"Time and place are different things," he pointed out. An underground cave was useful for such things and he didn't much care for the gym or salle. "Beach, then you can't get hurt too much when I kick your ass."

She sniffed. "Dorm roof is better, I'm not some pathetic wuss."

He rolled his eyes. "Then don't make me pick the spot if you're going to correct me," he eyed her. "Besides, that's school property. I don't want to get detention for it."

"They don't care 'bout sparring up there," she said loftily. "Cassandra and I never got in trouble for it."

It was still school grounds and Ichigo didn't think it very appropriate. "I don't want them to get the right idea." He was apparently in a difficult mood.

"Now look at who the moody one is," she snarked. "Geez."

"People expect me to be moody," he argued. "You're supposed to be bouncy and annoying."
