While Sam was very, very glad to be away from the volcano, he couldn't help but wish that the island had taken them somewhere a little cooler. He didn't mind being inside on days like this.

Sam made sure that any books that had been checked out were back in, and then went to check his e-mail.

Shortly after the library opened, Zoe came in with Grace, and approached the desk. "I thought I'd find you here," she said, smiling.

"I'm here every week," Sam said, grinning at Grace. "Hi there. Are you here for some books? I'm sure we have some with pretty pictures." He held one of the books on the desk up for Grace to touch.

Grace reached out and put her hands on the book, as if studying it for a moment, and then pushed at it to get it away.

Zoe didn't laugh as she watched her. Much.

"We're going to have to work on that," Sam said, giving Grace a playful glare. "I'll get you to like books one way or the other."

"I think that's a fine idea for the future, but that's not exactly why we're here," Zoe said. "I had something I wanted to talk to you about, but I didn't get a chance yesterday."

"Dad said you had something you wanted to talk to me about, but he didn't tell me what it was," Sam said. "He didn't want to get into trouble."

Mmmm, she really did have him well trained. Not that she was going to say that and scar Sam, because she was a good person. "I did. Did Dean tell you he and your dad talked about the wedding?"

The library was closed to everyone except the other aides and Dean.

Dean came in with a couple of tupperware containers. "Leftovers from dinner last night," he said, giving one to Sammy.

"You can't beat combo Father's Day/Volcano Day feasts," Dean agreed with a grin.

"I feel like there's a comparison to be made between Dad and a raging volcano, but it's not coming to me," Sam said.

Sam was in the stacks, trying to organize the books in such a way that people who weren't as tall as him could reach everything more easily.

Peter came in at the usual time and looked around for Sam.

When Sam heard the door open, he peered out towards the desk. "I'll be out in a second," he said, trying to get the books in his arms back on the shelves.

"Don't be a dork," Peter said. He put the coffee and donuts down and went over where Sam was. "Let me lend a hand."

"I'm not a dork," Sam said, although he didn't sound all that bothered by the term. "If you really want to help, I guess you can maybe hold these?" he suggested, motioning to the half dozen books still in his arms.
